The exclusive terrace of the Vesta Montecarlo, on the occasion of the Monaco yacht Show, hosted the cocktail presentation of a new destination that will become the future of boating in Saudi Arabia: AMAALA. A tourist destination open all year round that offers visitors breathtakingly varied landscapes, from the sea to the desert. Everyone will be able to find their own dimension there. There will be luxury hotels, residential villas, apartments, public housing, trendy clubs, shops, refined restaurants, innovative wellness, recreational activities, a yacht club and docks to host yachts with the aim of becoming the most exclusive nautical refuge in the world.
Amaala is part of Red Sea Global, it is located as I was saying on the coast of the Saudi Red Sea, inserted within the Royal Reserve of Prince Mohammed bin Salman, it is preparing to welcome its first guests by the end of the year promising stays of “One thousand and one nights”.
Its development is taking place with the utmost respect for nature and the ecosystem in which it is inserted with the aim not only of preserving it, but of contributing to its prosperity over time. An example among all, it is powered by 100% renewable energy, saving almost half a million tons of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere every year.
By designing it we wanted to draw deeply on Saudi Arabia’s traditions of well-being and hospitality, fusing them with a far-sighted vision of today’s luxury and offering a multigenerational experience. Adventure, history, traditions, wellness, meditation, art, you can find everything here. Furthermore, nearby there are already very famous destinations such as Riyadh, Dubai and Istanbul.
Triple Bay will initially be inaugurated which will include over 1,400 hotel rooms spread across eight different resorts. Among the main attractions are the Corallium Marine Life Institute, a scientific and educational research center designed by renowned architects Foster + Partners, and the AMAAALA Yacht Club, destined to become an international hub for luxury pleasure boating. In 2027 AMAALA will host the Grand Finale of The Ocean Race, bringing the legendary regatta to the Red Sea for the first time.
