We visit RM Sotheby’s auctions together

Facciamo insieme un viaggio tra Europa e Stati Uniti seguendo alcune delle auto più amate e desiderate del mondo. Iniziamo con l’asta che RM Sotheby’s ha organizzato in Arizona. Qui a far battere i cuori c’era la Ferrari 330 GTS by Pininfarina del 1967 ($1,957,500), raffinatamente sportiva; di questo desiderabile modello ne furono fatti solo 99 esemplari. Accanto a lei la Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Alloy Gullwing del 1955 venduta per $6.8 million. Un’auto leggendaria e sorprendente dalle prestazioni incredibili e dal design aerodinamico di cui sono stati realizzati solo 24 esemplari. La carrozzeria è in Grigio Argento Metallizzato (DB 180) su un interno in tessuto blu vinile/gabardine blu (L1).

Rimanendo negli USA e spostandoci a Fort Lauderdale ammiriamo la Lamborghini Countach LP5000 S by Bertone del 1984, valere stimato $600,000 – $750,000, in Nero Tenebre su un interno in pelle rossa. Questa potente supercar è divenuta una vera e propria icona. Con lei la Ferrari 512 BBi del 1984 nell’attraente Rosso Corsa su pelle beige, valore $350,000 – $400,000. 

Voliamo a Parigi qui sotto luci scintillanti hanno brillato la Ferrari 288 GTO del 1985 venduta per €3,464,375 che si caratterizza per aggressività e bellezza; l’Aston Martin DB4 Convertible del 1963, venduta dopo l’asta per €1,130,00, si ritiene che la DB4C / 1082 / L sia una delle sole 21 cabriolet costruite con il motore “SS” potenziato e uno dei soli sette esempi di “Serie V” in questa configurazione con guida a sinistra; la Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II Drophead Coupé, una dei soli 74 esemplari con guida a sinistra adattati da HJ Mulliner.

Non ci resta che attendere la prossima eccitante asta che si terrà ad Amelia Island. Qui ci saranno auto da sogno. La Bugatti EB110 GT Prototype 1994, chiamata così in onore del 110° compleanno di Ettore Bugatti, fu studiata a lungo da Romano Artioli insieme al celebre stilista Marcello Gandini e a Giampaolo Benedini ($2,000,000 – $2,500,000). uscì dalla fabbrica verde, fu poi successivamente riverniciata in blu. La Ferrari 275 GTS by Pininfarina del 1965 ($1,600,000 – $2,000,000 USD), un’elegante auto da turismo. In origine aveva la vernice bianca, poi divenne d’oro e infine, nel 1981 divenne rossa. La McLaren Speedtai del 2020 attinge dalla F1 e offre le prestazioni all’avanguardia grazie al motore V-8 biturbo da 4,0 litri. I test per la sua realizzazione sono stati fatti al Johnny Bohmer Proving Grounds, parte dello Space Shuttle Landing Facility della NASA a Orlando, in Florida ($2,600,000 – $3,000,000).

Let’s take a trip together between Europe and the United States following some of the most loved and desired cars in the world. Let’s start with the auction that RM Sotheby’s organized in Arizona. Here there was the 1967 Ferrari 330 GTS by Pininfarina ($1,957,500), finely sporty; there are only 99 models of this desirable car. There was the 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Alloy Gullwing sold for $6.8 million. A legendary and surprising car with incredible performance and aerodynamic design, there are only 24 examples. The body is in Metallic Silver Grey (DB 180) on an interior in blue vinyl/blue gabardine fabric (L1). Staying in the USA and moving to Fort Lauderdale we could admire the 1984 Lamborghini Countach LP5000 S by Bertone, estimated $600,000 – $750,000, in Nero Tenebre on a red leather interior. This powerful supercar has become a true icon. With it 1984 the Ferrari 512 BBi in the attractive Rosso Corsa on beige leather, estimated $350,000 – $400,000. We fly to Paris, here under twinkling lights shone the 1985 Ferrari 288 GTO sold for € 3,464,375 which is characterized by aggressiveness and beauty; the 1963 Aston Martin DB4 Convertible, sold after the auction for €1,130.00, the DB4C/1082/L is believed to be one of only 21 convertibles built with the enhanced “SS” engine and one of only seven examples of “V Series” in this left-hand drive configuration; the Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II Drophead Coupé, one of only 74 left-hand drive models adapted by HJ Mulliner. We just have to wait for the next exciting auction at Amelia Island. Here there will be dream cars. The 1994 Bugatti EB110 GT Prototype, named in honor of Ettore Bugatti’s 110th birthday, was created by Romano Artioli together with Marcello Gandini and Giampaolo Benedini ($2,000,000 – $2,500,000). It was green originally, then was repainted in blue. The 1965 Ferrari 275 GTS by Pininfarina ($1,600,000 – $2,000,000 USD), an elegant touring car. It was white Originally, then it became gold and finally, in 1981 it became red. The 2020 McLaren Speedtai draws on F1 and delivers cutting-edge performance thanks to the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V-8 engine. Tests for its realization were done at the Johnny Bohmer Proving Grounds, part of NASA’s Space Shuttle Landing Facility in Orlando, Florida ($2,600,000 – $3,000,000).
