In uno dei luoghi più affascinanti del Principato di Monaco, la Villa La Vigie, si è svolta la prestigiosa asta di Bonhams. Questa villa dallo stile Belle Epoque fu edificata nel 1902 dal lord inglese Sir William Ingram e fu teatro delle più belle serate mondane alla grande Gatsby. Tra il 1986 al 1997 fu la dimora di Karl Lagerfeld.
In questa dimora così chic con una splendida vista sul mare e su Montecarlo sono state battute all’asta alcune automobili davvero straordinarie: tra queste la McLaren P1 Coupe Validation Prototype 3 (VP3) 2013 di Mika Häkkinen, una delle 7 costruite, stimata tra 1.500.000 e 2.000.000 di euro; un’eccezionale Ferrari 250 GT Coupé del 1960 la cui carrozzeria fu realizzata su misura dall’italiano Piero Drogo della Carrozzeria Sports Cars (prezzo stimato tra i 2.500.000 e i 3.000.000 di euro).
In one of the most fascinating places in the Principality of Monaco, the Villa La Vigie, the prestigious Bonhams auction took place. This Belle Epoque style villa was built in 1902 by the English lord Sir William Ingram and was the scene of the most beautiful Gatsby social evenings. Between 1986 and 1997 it was the home of Karl Lagerfeld. In this chic mansion with a splendid view of the sea and Monte Carlo, some truly extraordinary cars have been auctioned: among them the McLaren P1 Coupe Validation Prototype 3 (VP3) 2013 by Mika Häkkinen, one of the 7 built, estimated between 1,500,000 and 2,000,000 euros; an exceptional 1960 Ferrari 250 GT Coupé whose bodywork was custom-made by the Italian Piero Drogo of Carrozzeria Sports Cars (estimated price between 2,500,000 and 3,000,000 euros).
