Una cena romantica al Maitò

La suggestiva luce dell’imbrunire rende ancora più magico, romantico e suggestivo questo luogo nel quale dedicarsi una cena speciale. Lungo la bellissima piscina a sfioro sono posizionati i tavoli e la vista sulla costa è davvero suggestiva. Il menù offre piatti per tutti i palati. Io ho scelto una tartare di manzo battuta al coltello accompagnata da un fresco calice della “limited edition” Padre Figlio di Diego Bosoni, un bianco da uve Vermentino.

Il ristorante Maitò si trova all’ultimo piano dell’Hotel Principe di Piemonte a Viareggio. Questo Hotel sorse nei primissimi anni Venti con il nome di Select Palace Hotel, nel 1925 fu alzato di due piani e  impreziosito dal magnifico frontone diventando la meta preferita di aristocratici, intellettuali e artisti. Poi nel 1938 il nome cambiò in Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte e tutt’oggi è considerato uno tra gli hotel storici più esclusivi e raffinati esistenti al mondo.

Along the beautiful infinity pool are positioned tables and the view of the coast is really impressive. The menu offers dishes for all tastes. I chose a beef tartare beaten with a knife accompanied by a fresh glass of the “limited edition” Padre Figlio by Diego Bosoni, a white from grapes Vermentino. The Maitò restaurant is located on the top floor of the Hotel Principe di Piemonte in Viareggio. This hotel was built in the early twenties with the name of Select Palace Hotel, in 1925 two floors were built and the hotel was embellished by the magnificent pediment becoming the favorite destination of aristocrats, intellectuals and artists. Then in 1938 the name changed to Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte and is still considered one of the most exclusive and refined historic hotels in the world.
