The ICE ST Moritz – Saturday 2023

Sabato il sole ha reso il lago scintillante e ancora più bello e noi ci siamo goduti una giornata suggestiva ed emozionante. Le auto da sogno giunte in occasione di The ICE oggi hanno sfrecciato sul lago ghiacciato infiammando i cuori dei tantissimi appassionati, collezionisti e giornalisti giunti a St Moritz per questo esclusivo evento. Una giuria di esperti ha avuto il compito di giudicare le 48 auto che hanno segnato un pezzo di storia dell’automobilismo, parlare con i loro proprietari e valutarne la storia, l’originalità, l’autenticità, lo stato conservativo e le prestazioni. Alla fine le vincitrici per ogni categoria sono state:

1. Open Wheels – 1958 Maserati 420 M/58 “Eldorado”
2. Barchettas on the lake- 1955 Ferrari 500 Mondial Series II
3. Le Mans 100 – 1958 Ferrari  250 Testarossa LucyBelle
4. Concept Cars and One-offs- 1970 Lancia Strato’s  HF Zero
5. Queen in Wheels – 1958 Bentley S1 Continental Drophead Coupé

Il premio “Best in Show” del Concorso d’Eleganza di St. Moritz è stato assegnato alla bellissima Lancia Sibilo di proprietà del famoso collezionista Corrado Lopresto. Questo prototipo fu creato nel 1978 dalla matita di Marcello Gandini, responsabile del design di Bertone, come evoluzione della Stratos. Una vettura futuristica le cui linee ricordavano quelle di una freccia. Questa auto ispirò quella utilizzata nel film “Atto di forza” del 1990, di Paul Verhoeven, con Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Glamour ed esclusività hanno contraddistinto questi due giorni, i brand partner hanno allestito hospitality super chic nelle quali poter sorseggiare champagne e stuzzicare finger food dolci e salati. Ognuno di loro ha ospitato i propri invitati in modo squisito. Tra i partners presenti: Maserati, Lamborghini, Badrutt’s Place, St Moritz, Pagani, Ferrari Classiche, Persol, Mercedes, RM Sotheby’s, Crystal Hotel, The Little car.

On Saturday the sun made the lake sparkling and even more beautiful and we enjoyed a suggestive and exciting day. The dream cars arrived for The ICE event, today whizzed over the frozen lake inflaming the hearts of the many fans, collectors and journalists who came to St Moritz. A jury of experts had to judge the 48 cars that have marked a piece of the motoring history, talk to their owners and evaluate their history, originality, authenticity, state of preservation and performance. The winners for each category were: 1) Open Wheels – 1958 Maserati 420 M/58 “Eldorado” 2) Barchettas on the lake – 1955 Ferrari 500 Mondial Series II 3) Le Mans 100 – 1958 Ferrari 250 Testarossa LucyBelle 4) Concept Cars and One-offs- 1970 Lancia Strato’s HF Zero 5) Queen in Wheels – 1958 Bentley S1 Continental Drophead Coupé. The “Best in Show” award of the St. Moritz Concours d’Elegance went to the beautiful Lancia Sibilo owned by the famous collector Corrado Lopresto. This prototype was created in 1978 by the pencil of Marcello Gandini, responsible for Bertone’s design, and it was an evolution of the Lancia Stratos. A futuristic car whose lines resembled those of an arrow. This car inspired the one used in the film “Act of Strength” of 1990, by Paul Verhoeven, with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Glamour and exclusivity have distinguished these two days, the partner brands have set up super chic hospitality in which we can sip champagne and tease sweet and savory finger food. Each of them hosted their guests in an exquisite way.
