Viste le recenti temperature insolitamente calde per le Alpi svizzere per questo periodo, il lago di St. Moritz non si è congelato come avrebbe dovuto e lo spessore del ghiaccio ha raggiunto solo i 21 centimetri, non abbastanza per essere considerato sicuro. Il comitato del torneo Snow Polo World Cup St. Moritz, insieme alle autorità e ai partner di costruzione, ha quindi deciso di posticipare l’inizio dei lavori e la decisione di mantenere in essere le date si svolgimento dal 27 al 29 gennaio 2023 sarà presa entro il 18 gennaio 2023.

The recent unusually warm temperatures in the Swiss Alps in this period have led to a delay in the freezing of the St. Moritz Lake. Currently, the ice thickness has reached 21 centimeters, which is not yet safe enough to begin general construction work for the Snow Polo World Cup St. Moritz. The tournament committee along with the authorities and construction partners has therefore decided to postpone the start of construction.
