There are races that are dedicated only to true car enthusiasts. One of them is the Peking – Paris. The first edition was in 1907 with 40 crews and since 1997 it has been held every 3 years. In June 2019 120 crews took part in this long and arduous journey.  Among them three Italians teams. Last night at the Milan CMAE headquarters, three of the protagonists of this incredible competition shared their emotions and their stories with us. Matteo and Roberto Crippa participated with a 1975 Alfa Spider, the famous “Rudolph The Red Nosed Alfa”. For them this adventure was truly unforgettable and exciting. There were also difficult moments, for example when, in Mongolia, wading through a river, they were swallowed up and came out only after more hours, thanks to the help of the local population. Giorgio Schon, owner of the Rossocorsa dealership, took part with a Ferrari Dino 208 GT4 with Enrico Guggiari. Breathtaking and uncontaminated landscapes, friendship with the other competitors, the tension of the race and several unexpected events made rendered the finish line full of emotion and of memories which they shared with us through photos, movies and anecdotes. At the end a toast with an excellent glass of “Rosso Barchetta” of the Colle Manora winery. “Born from the commonality of two passions, produced with sophisticated techniques from the most qualified vineyards of the winery, this wine has, like the red sport racing cars, a voice of thunder, a reassuring reserve of power. A simple stretch of a red pen combined with a cluster: dedicated to those who love the myths of the time, the clean style, the technology.” George Schon. Its particular label is an interpretation of the “chassis plate”, the chassis identification tag applied to the 1950s and 1960s Ferrari cars, including the red racing “barchetta”.
