Le rive del lago di Como sono state lo scenario perfetto per accogliere Riva Days 2025, il raduno internazionale dei mitici motoscafi in legno organizzato da Riva Historical Society e da Riva Society Italia. Riva Historical Society ASD (FIM – CONI) è la Federazione internazionale nata nel 1998 e presieduta dall’architetto milanese Piero Maria Gibellini, essa, insieme insieme alla Riva Society Italia (ASI), riunisce circa 700 soci di oltre 30 Paesi nei cinque continenti.

Gli armatori si sono dati appuntamento presso lo Yacht Club Como per prendere parte alla manifestazione che quest’anno era dedicata a “Renzo e Lucia”. Rappresentati tutti i modelli in legno realizzati da Carlo Riva, tra cui l’Aquarama, il Super Aquarama, l’Aquarama Special, il Super Tritone, Super Florida, Ariston, Super Ariston, Junior, Olympic e anche un Rudy, la versione in vetroresina dello Junior. Dopo la sfilata e un giro tra i luoghi più suggestivi del lago tra Como e Cernobbio gli equipaggi sono tornati allo Yacht Club per la premiazione del Concorso D’Eleganza. Il Riva Ariston Typ One del 1965, proveniente dalla Germania, si è aggiudicato il prestigioso Best in Show; l’Olympic Elisabetta del 1971 ha vinto il Concorso di Eleganza; il Super Ariston del 1971 e l’Aquarama Special del 1992 hanno vinto la Coppa Carlo Riva rispettivamente nelle categorie ‘monomotore’ e ‘bimotore’ mentre al Rudy Sara del 1975 è andata la Coppa ASI per l’abilità marinaresca. Il premio all’imbarcazione più piccola, più rara nonché la più antica, è andato allo Scoiattolo Goia, un fuoribordo del 1957. La seconda imbarcazione più antica era il Florida “Tender to Rhea” del 1958, mentre lo scafo più recente era l’Aquarama “Riva Classiche” del 1996 (il numero 784). La cena di Gala per la premiazione si è tenuta presso la settecentesca Villa Parravicini Revel di Como.

Il raduno è stata anche l’occasione per i partecipanti di visitare gli splendidi giardini della Villa del Balbianello di Lenno, la Velarca di Ossuccio, ricostruzione della famosa casa-barca del Lago di Como e il Museo della Barca Lariana di Pianello del Lario.

Questo evento fa parte dell’ASI Circuito Tricolor che riunisce i raduni più meritevoli e prestigiosi. Un ringraziamento ai mezzi di assistenza forniti dalla Como Classic Boats e al maxi gommone Marlin 40 del Cantiere Marlin Boats.

The shores of Lake Como were the perfect setting to host Riva Days 2025, the international gathering of legendary wooden speedboats organized by Riva Historical Society and Riva Society Italia. Riva Historical Society ASD (FIM – CONI) is the international Federation founded in 1998 and chaired by the architect from Milan Piero Maria Gibellini, it, together with the Riva Society Italy (ASI), brings together about 700 members from over 30 countries on five continents.
The owners have given themselves appointment at the Yacht Club Como to take part in the event that this year was dedicated to “Renzo and Lucia”. Represented all the wooden models made by Carlo Riva, including the Aquarama, the Super Aquarama, the Aquarama Special, the Super Tritone, Super Florida, Ariston, Super Ariston, Junior, Olympic and also a Rudy, the fiberglass version of the Junior. After the parade and a tour of the most suggestive places on the lake between Como and Cernobbio, the crews returned to the Yacht Club for the award ceremony of the D’Eleganza Competition. The 1965 Riva Ariston Typ One from Germany won the prestigious Best in Show; the 1971 Olympic Elisabetta won the Concorso di Eleganza; the Super Ariston of 1971 and the Aquarama Special of 1992 won the Coppa Carlo Riva respectively in the ‘monomotore’ and ‘bimotor’ categories while to the Rudy Sara of 1975 went the ASI Cup for the nautical skill. The prize for the smallest, rarest and oldest boat went to the Scoiattolo Goia, a 1957 outboard. The second oldest vessel was the 1958 Florida “Tender to Rhea”, while the most recent hull was the 1996 Aquarama “Riva Classiche” (number 784). The gala dinner for the award ceremony was held at the eighteenth-century Villa Parravicini Revel in Como.

The meeting was also an opportunity for participants to visit the beautiful gardens of the Villa del Balbianello in Lenno, the Velarca of Ossuccio, reconstruction of the famous boat house on Lake Como and the Museum of the Lariana Boat in Pianello del Lario.
