Il motore V8 biturbo da 4,0 litri è stato rivoluzionato da un team di ingegneri guidato da Ralph Illenberger, Head of Powertrain Engineering di Aston Martin; cambi di marcia molto più rapidi, maggiore senso di controllo, si raggiunge tempo di 0-100 km/h del DBX707 in 3,3 secondi, miglioramenti delle risposte dei freni. I cerchi e gli pneumatici sono da 22 pollici di serie, si possono avere anche in lega da 23 pollici. Si può scegliere la modalità Dynamic Drive tra “Race Start” GT Sport e Sport+.
