La sera in spiaggia

Domani sarà ferragosto, per alcuni l’inizio delle vacanze, per altri la fine, qualcun altro farà semplicemente una gita fuori porta. Molti di voi saranno al mare, pronti ad un’altra serata estiva. Cosa c’è di più suggestivo di una spiaggia abbracciata dalle ombre della sera, illuminata solamente dalla luna e da qualche flebile luce. Magari guardando il cielo speriamo di vedere ancora una ritardataria stella cadente che si prenda incarico del nostro desiderio finora inespresso. Io ho seguito le lanterne che dalla pineta mi hanno condotto al mare, camminando sulla sabbia umida e arrivando a immergere i piedi nelle tiepide acque, indecisa se fare un bagno o alzare lo sguardo e rimanere incantata dalle stelle che da lassù fanno capolino nel buio della notte.

Tomorrow will be the feast of the Assumption, for some the beginning of the holidays, for others the end, someone else will simply take a trip out of town. Many of you will be at the beach, ready for another summer evening. What could be more suggestive than a beach embraced by the shadows of the evening, illuminated only by the moon and some faint light. Maybe looking at the sky we hope to see again a late shooting star that takes charge of our unexpressed desire. I followed the lanterns that led me across the pine forest to the sea, walking on the damp sand and coming to dip my feet in the warm waters, undecided whether to take a bath or look up and be enchanted by the stars that peep out from up there in the dark of the night.
