Ancora una volta il fascinoso Grand Hotel Villa d’Este è stato il palcoscenico perfetto per questo evento super esclusivo. La giuria ha designato come vincitrice un’Alfa Romeo 8C 2300, con carrozzeria a spider di Figoni degli anni ’30, mentre la Coppa d’Oro Villa d’Este è stata vinta dalla McLaren F1 del 1995.
Il BMW Group ha presentato la 20a BMW Art Car disegnata da Julie Mehretu e due straordinarie anteprime mondiali: la BMW Concept Skytop e la BMW R 20 concept; Rolls-Royce ha celebrato il 120° anniversario del marchio e ha presentato la Rolls-Royce Cullinan Serie II, un’evoluzione audace del SUV più lussuoso al mondo.
Il sabato si è potuti assistere alla parata del Wheels&Weisswürscht – Amici&Automobili, mentre la domenica tutte le auto del concorso hanno fatto bella mostra di sé a Villa Erba e si è celebrata l’eleganza sportiva della BMW Z8. Helmut Käs (Responsabile di BMW Group Classic e Presidente del Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este), Carlotta Fontana (Membro del Consiglio di Villa d’Este) e Massimiliano di Silvestre (Presidente di BMW Italia) hanno donato il ricavato dalla vendita dei biglietti di sabato con un importo aggiuntivo di BMW Group Classic, per un totale di 50.000 euro, a Matteo Monti (Sindaco di Cernobbio) per l’asilo nido comunale di Cernobbio.
This was the weekend dedicated to the spectacular world of cars. Once again the charming Grand Hotel Villa d’Este was the perfect stage for this super exclusive event. The jury chose as the winner an Alfa Romeo 8C 2300, with a spider body by Figoni from the ’30s, while the Coppa d’Oro Villa d’Este was won by the 1995 McLaren F1. The BMW Group presented the 20th BMW Art Car designed by Julie Mehretu and two outstanding world premieres: the BMW Concept Skytop and the BMW R 20 concept; Rolls-Royce celebrated the brand’s 120th anniversary and unveiled the Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II, a bold evolution of the world’s most luxurious SUV. On Saturday it was possible to attend the Wheels&Weisswürscht – Friends&Cars parade, while on Sunday all the cars of the competition were on display at Villa Erba and the sporty elegance of the BMW Z8 was celebrated. Helmut Käs (Head of BMW Group Classic and President of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este), Carlotta Fontana (Member of the Board of Villa d’Este) and Massimiliano di Silvestre (President of BMW Italia) donated the proceeds from Saturday’s ticket sales with an additional amount of BMW Group Classic, totalling 50,000 euros, to Matteo Monti (Mayor of Cernobbio) for the municipal nursery school in Cernobbio.
