Cavallino Classic 2021

Un sole splendente e una piacevole brezza hanno accolto la 30° edizione di Cavallino Classic, il più importante Concorso al mondo dedicato alle vetture Ferrari. Nel meraviglioso giardino del The Breakers di Palm Beach, in Florida si sono date appuntamento automobili straordinarie dopo aver sfrecciato in pista e sulle strade dell Tour di Palm Beach. Tra i prestigiosi premi assegnati quello della “La Scuderia Ferrari Cup” assegnato alla Ferrari 250 GT TdF del 1957, considerata la più interessante Ferrari da competizione e “La Gran Turismo Ferrari Cup” vinta dalla Ferrari 212 Inter Cabriolet Pinin Farina del 1952, entrambi consegnati da John Barnes, il fondatore di Cavallino Classic, e da Luigi Orlandini, Presidente e CEO di Canossa Events. Si è raccontata la storia della 250 GT Berlinetta SWB, da oltre 30 anni appartenente allo stesso proprietario. Questo evento super esclusivo è stato l’occasione per promuovere, con una conferenza stampa dedicata, la Motor Valley, organizzata in collaborazione con il Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale e l’Agenzia ICE – Italian Trade & Investment Agency.

Tra le Ferrari più ammirate: due Ferrari 250 GTO, due 250 SWB (tra cui una da competizione), la 275 GTB/4, la 250 GTL, la 288 GTO, l’F40, la SF 90 Stradale, una delle sole 40 FXX-K prodotte, telaio #289090 del 2015; la Formula 1 F2001b del 2001, ex Michael Schumacher, telaio #215; la 250 Testa Rossa del 1957, telaio #0704 TR; il motoscafo da competizione Arno XI del 1952, chiglia #001, realizzato dai Cantieri Timossi ed equipaggiato con il motore 12 cilindri 4,5 litri solitamente utilizzato sulle Ferrari 375 di Formula 1;  12, tra 365, 512, 512i e Testarossa nelle sue diverse evoluzioni, le Ferrari equipaggiate con il motore 12 cilindri Boxer, riunite per celebrare i 50 anni della 364 GT/4 BB, la prima Ferrari stradale ad adottare la soluzione tecnica del motore 12 cilindri boxer, presentata al Salone di Torino del 1971.

Nel corso dell’evento, Luigi Orlandini ha annunciato che Cavallino renderà omaggio alla città natale di Enzo Ferrari con un evento speciale, solo su invito, che si terrà a Modena dal 2 al 4 luglio.

Questa partnership così prestigiosa tra Italia/Stati Uniti rappresenta un vero e proprio motivo di vero orgoglio per tutti noi.

A bright sun and a pleasant breeze welcomed the 30th Cavallino Classic, the most important Competition in the world dedicated to Ferrari cars. In the wonderful garden of The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida, extraordinary cars arrived after whizzing down the track and on the streets of the Palm Beach Tour. Among the important awards awarded: “The Scuderia Ferrari Cup” awarded to the 1957 Ferrari 250 GT TdF, the most important Ferrari competition and “The Gran Turismo Ferrari Cup” won by a 1952 Ferrari 212 Inter Cabriolet Pinin Farina, the two awards were presented by John Barnes, the founder of Cavallino Classic, and Luigi Orlandini, President and CEO of Canossa Events. During the event was told the story of a 250 GT Berlinetta SWB that has been with the same owner for over 30 years. This super exclusive event was the occasion to promote, with a dedicated press conference, the Motor Valley, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the ICE Agency – Italian Trade & Investment Agency. Among the most admired Ferraris: Ferrari 250 GTO, 250 SWB (one was a “competizione” version), 275 GTB/4 and 250 GTL, as well as the more modern 288 GTO, F40 and SF 90 Stradale. Other highlights attracting the attention of enthusiasts were a 2015 FXX-K (chassis #289090), one of the only 40 produced, the 2001 Formula 1 F2001b (chassis #215) formerly driven by Michael Schumacher, a 1957 250 Testa Rossa (chassis #0704 TR), and the 1952 Arno XI racing motorboat (keel #001), built by Cantieri Timossi and equipped with the 4.5-liter 12-cylinder engine usually used on F1 375s. Furthermore, a remarkable 12 Ferraris —we are talking about the 365, 512 and 512i models, plus the various evolutions of the Testarossa — all equipped with the 12-cylinder Boxer engine, came together to mark the 50^th anniversary of the unveiling, at the 1971 Turin Motor Show, of the 364 GT/4 BB, the first road Ferrari to adopt this type of engine. During the event, Luigi Orlandini announced that Cavallino will pay tribute to Enzo Ferrari’through a special by-invitation-only event due to take place in Modena from 2 to 4 July. This prestigious partnership between Italy and the United States represents a real source of true pride for all of us.
