Il The Peninsula Hong Kong fu inaugurato nel 1928 e fu il primo edificio “The Peninsula”.

The Peninsula Hong Kong opened in 1928 and was the first “The Peninsula” Hotel. The building was renovated in 1994 and has a neo-colonial and baroque style. It was nicknamed the Grand Dame of the East, and is one of the most splendid hotels in the world. It appeared in the film “Agent 007 – The Man with the Golden Gun”, with Roger Moore, in the 80s miniseries “The King of Hong Kong”, with Pierce Brosnan and more recently in Christopher Nolan’s film “The Dark Knight”. Bentley has had the honour of delivering four Bentayga Hybrids and the EWB Azure SUVs, all custom-made for the hotel. First of all, they are distinguished by the particular color shade chosen, Peninsula Green, an elegant dark green, then it has been given a modern and clean character with the addition of bright painted finishes and grilles in the lower openings of the bumper. The front doors have the emblem of The Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotels Limited, the parent company of The Peninsula Hong Kong, owner and operator of The Peninsula Hotels. The 4+1 configuration interior is a contemporary interpretation of classic Bentley themes. The majority of the cabin is trimmed in Saddle leather, with contrast Beluga leather being used atop the door waistrails , across the top of the dashboard and for the steering wheel; all enriched by The warm tones of Burr Walnut pair the two leather colours perfectly, used across the dash fascias, along the waistrails and to a pair of veneered picnic tables. Embroidered Bentley emblems in Saddle are added to all four seats, and the cars feature Mood Lighting and Rear Seat Entertainment – allowing rear cabin occupants to work, browse the internet or stream content in total comfort. The car also features include bespoke towel bins and tissue boxes fitted to the rear door pockets, additional USB charging sockets in the rear cabin, metal signage in the rear armrests and and bespoke ‘THE PENINSULA” illuminated treadplates. Frank-Steffen Walliser, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bentley Motors, had the pleasure of handing over these four magnificent bespoke Bentaygas cars to the Honourable Sir Michael Kadoorie and The Peninsula Hong Kong, hand-crafted and customised by the team of craftsmen at the Dream Factory in Crewe, England.
