Arte, musica e cappelli racchiusi in un 5 Stelle Lusso

11 Novembre, 2020 Published in hotel | Restaurants

In this season we want warm and enveloping atmospheres, exclusively welcoming places in which feel pampered. The “British” style recalls a chic and refined elegance, a regal taste that fascinates and conquers all of us. The style of a rich English residence has inspired the furnishings and the décor of the new five-star luxury hotel in the heart of Rome, the Maalot Hotel. This hotel is located in a splendid historic “palazzo”of the 19th century, where, between 1828 and 1837, the great composer Gaetano Donizetti wrote “Il Furioso di San Domingo” and the “Torquato Tasso”. At the arrival the guests will be welcome by a kind hostess who will will accompany where they would like to go, it could be the bar, the restaurant or the room. A physical keys will be given to the guests to create the feeling of a manor. Each room has different furnishings and sizes, some have living room, library and spectacular stone fireplaces. In all there is a walk-in closet entirely made in walnut wood. The bathrooms are covered in Arabesque Calacatta marble, but in the two suites in the attic the bathrooms are in precious Portoro marble with a black background with gold veins. A very tantalizing curiosity, all paintings in the rooms represent an “hat”, drawing inspiration from a phrase in a song by Marvin Gaye: “Wherever I lay my hat, that’s my home”. The restaurant, designed for a niche clientele, is a living room with a historic and refined style and a green soul, it is surrounded by green curtains, like a secret garden. Here painters exhibit their paintings, as in an elegant art gallery like when via  delle Muratte, where the hotels is located, was “the street of artists”. The reception housed in a refined study showcasing a rich selection of books available to guests. A gym, whose walls are covered with wood paneling and mirrors, will make more stimulating our exercises. The Maalot Hotel, designed by the Roman studio RPM Proget and owned by an Argentinian entrepreneur, who already owns other successful hotels, will open its doors to guests in December 2020.
