Una melodia sul lago

Soggiornare in una dimora lussuosa come il Passalacqua ci regala le atmosfere dei viaggi che gli aristocratici e gli intellettuali si concedevano per immergersi nella bellezza. Nelle 12 suite della Villa, diverse tra loro, si celebra la sfarzosità della storia italiana con affreschi originali, stucchi e decori, ma mai con ridondanza. I tessuti d’arredo hanno una sorprendente palette di colori e alcuni sono stati creati appositamente da Rubelli, Dedar e Fortuny per l’hotel, tra questi il “Voile de Como”, una stampa su velo che riproduce alcuni degli scorci più belli del lago. Per la biancheria da letto, firmata Beltrami in esclusiva, è stata usata una fibra naturale, più morbida della seta, derivata dalle betulle, mentre per le tende si è voluta celebrare la tradizione serica di Como. Ognuna delle camere della Villa è intitolata ad un’opera di Vincenzo Bellini che vi fece la sua dimora nel 1829 e qui, nella sala della musica, compose due delle sue opere più famose, La Norma e La Sonnambula.

La Suite Bellini è la più grande del Lago di Como con i suoi grandiosi saloni a volta a doppia altezza e finemente decorati, la Sala della Musica e il sontuoso bagno.

E’ affascinante e ipnotico affacciarsi alla finestra e ammirare il luccichio delle acque del lago, visibile da ognuna delle stanze.

Staying in a luxurious hotel like the Passalacqua gives us the atmosphere of the journeys that aristocrats and intellectuals allowed themselves to immerse in beauty. In the 12 suites of the Villa, each different, the sumptuousness of Italian history is celebrated with original frescoes, stuccoes and decorations, but never with redundancy. The furnishing fabrics have a surprising palette of colors and some were created specifically by Rubelli, Dedar and Fortuny for the hotel, including the “Voile de Como”, a veil print that reproduces some of the most beautiful views of the lake. For the bed linen, signed Beltrami exclusively, a natural and softer than silk fiber was used, it derived from birches, while for the curtains we wanted to celebrate the silk tradition of Como. Each of these rooms has the name of a Vincenzo Bellini’s opera because he stayed here in 1829 and, in the music room, he composed two of his most famous operas, La Norma and La Sonnambula. The Bellini Suite is the largest on Lake Como with its grandiose double-height and finely decorated vaulted halls, the Music Room and the sumptuous bathroom.  To look out the window and admire the shimmer of the waters of the lake, visible from each of the rooms is fascinating and hypnotic.
