Un ricordo di Giovanni Gastel

Desidero rendere un omaggio a questo grande artista riproponendo le immagini di una sua mostra. “Un eterno istante” così definì la sua vita in un libro da lui scritto nel 2015. Da queste pagine traspare un uomo che amava la vita in tutte le sue sfumature, le donne, i cavalli, la famiglia, gli amici e in modo assoluto e dirompente amava la fotografia.

Un gentiluomo dall’eleganza innata di cui mi ha colpito molto un suo pensiero, espresso durante un’intervista: “Se parli con qualcuno, chiunque lui sia, dedicagli la tua assoluta attenzione. Isolati da tutto e da tutti e, per il tempo che sarai con lui, sii solo suo, altrimenti non parlarci affatto”.

I would like to pay tribute to this great artist by remembering one of his exhibition. He defined his life “An eternal moment” in a book wrote in 2015. In these pages we find a man who loved life in all its nuances, he loved women, horses, his family, his friends and he loved photography in an absolute and disruptive way. He was a gentleman with an innate elegance, I would like to share with you one of his frase, he said it during an interview: “If you talk to someone, whoever he is, give him your absolute attention. You have to isolate yourself from everything and everyone and, during the time you are with him, you have to be alone with him, otherwise do not talk at all”.
