“Trofeo delle Nazioni”

La suggestiva luce del tramonto ha avvolto la premiazione del team Prealpina Traslochi, in occasione del “Trofeo delle Nazioni”. Questa prima edizione si è svolta nell’incantevole cornice del Milano Polo Club e ha visto sfidarsi quattro team provenienti da: Austria, Germania, Svizzera, Francia, Inghilterra e Stati Uniti. Presente il Cavaliere Vittorio Orlandi, Presidente del Comitato Regionale Fise Lombardia. Una bellissima occasione per conoscere meglio il gioco del Polo. Si narra che sia un’ evoluzione delle esercitazioni della cavalleria inglese, compiute come addestramento al combattimento a cavallo. Il movimento della stecca dall’alto verso il basso, per colpire la palla, è analogo al fendente che la cavalleria vibra con la sciabola. Divenne poi il gioco preferito dei reali e della nobiltà.

Durante la manifestazione si é svolta una singolare gara di velocità tra la cavalla argentina Roquera e la Tesla S 750, un’auto elettrica capace di sviluppare una potenza pari a 700 cavalli. Roquera è riuscita a battere per un soffio la Tesla, suscitando grande entusiasmo e stupore tra gli spettatori.

The picturesque light of the sunset enveloped the award ceremony of the Prealpina Traslochi team on the occasion of the “Trophy of Nations”. This first edition took place in the enchanting setting of the Milan Polo Club with four teams from Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France, England and the United States. There was The Knight Vittorio Orlandi, President of the Fise Lombardy Regional Committee. A beautiful opportunity to learn more about the game of Polo. The history saidthet this sport was an evolution of the English cavalry exercises. The movement of the splint from top to bottom to hit the ball is analogous to the cutting blow that the cavalry vibrates with the saber. The Polo became the favorite game of royalty and nobility.
During the event there was a unique speed race between the Argentine horse Roquera and the Tesla S 750, an electric car able of developing a power of 700 horsepower. Roquera won the race, stiring up great excitement and amazement among the spectators.
