Eleganza, forza ed esclusività allo stato puro contraddistinguono l’automobile più famosa del mondo:  l’Aston Martin DB5 del 1965. La Eon Productionse la scelse per le riprese del film “Goldfinger” e divenne subito un’icona, tanto che nel mondo non fu solo legata indissolubilmente al personaggio di James Bond, ma divenne essa stessa protagonista del film! Ne furono realizzate due ricche di equipaggiamenti e accessori per supportare l’agente 007 in ogni sua missione. Il successo fu così incredibile che ne furono commissionate altre due per il film “Thunderball”. Una di queste, la DB5/2008/R parteciperà ad un’asta di eccezione che RM Sotheby’s ha organizzato per il 15 Agosto 2019 a Monterey. Un’unica e incredibile occasioni per aggiudicarsi questa meraviglia e potersi calare nei panni di James Bond.
Quest’auto ha avuto solo tre proprietari privati ed è stata esposta per 35 anni allo Smokey Mountain Car Museum a Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Una rarità su quattro ruote, stimata tra i $4.000.000 – $6.000.000.
