“The Downton Abbey” Bonhams auction

La serie televisiva Downton Abbey ha affascinato moltissimi telespettatori che nel corso degli anni si sono appassionati alle vicende dell’aristocratica famiglia Crawley e del suo personale domestico; testimoni delle ultime vestigia delle vecchie tradizioni del secolo scorso, prima che esse fossero spazzate via dalla Prima Guerra Mondiale. Tra i protagonisti più amati sicuramente l’attrice Oscar Maggie Smith, matriarca della famiglia e contessa della splendida tenuta di campagna dell’Inghilterra edoardiana; Lady Mary Crawley, l’amatissima nipote, interpretata dall’attrice Michelle Dockery. Le porte di Downton Abbey sono rimaste aperte per 15 anni raccontandoci amori, delusioni, nascite, morti, scandali ed eventi di cui la famiglia è stata protagonista. Ora dopo sei stagioni e il terzo e ultimo film in arrivo a settembre, la storica serie si appresta a dirci addio.

Prima che le vicende si volgano al termine, Bonhams organizzerà una mostra e un’asta di oggetti di scena, costumi e scenografie che sicuramente farà battere il cuore degli appassionati. La vendita è aperta online su bonhams.com a partire dal 18 agosto e terminerà il 16 settembre, mentre la speciale mostra sarà ospitata presso la sede di Bonhams in New Bond Street a Londra e sarà gratuita e aperta al pubblico.

I proventi derivanti dalle donazioni saranno devoluti a Together for Short Lives, la principale organizzazione benefica del Regno Unito per i bambini con patologie invalidanti e le loro famiglie.
