The Bulgari Laguna Blu

Il più grane diamante blu al mondo ha fatto il suo debutto al Met Gala di New York incastonato in una splendida collana creata da Bulgari e indossata da Priyanka Chopra Jonas, vestita per l’occasione da Valentino.

Nel 1970 Bulgari creò l’anello “Bulgari Laguna Blu” per una famiglia europea e da allora è rimasto sempre loro proprietà. La pietra usata per questo anello è un diamante blu straordinario a forma di goccia di 11,16 carati dal colore e purezza fuori dal comune. I diamanti di questo colore, rarissimi, sono prodotti dalla presenza dell’oligoelemento boro all’interno della struttura di carbonio durante la sua formazione nelle profondità nel nucleo terrestre.

Dopo la sua apparizione sul Red Carpet del met Gala verrà portato a Ginevra dove dall’11 maggio verrà esposto al Mandarin Oriental prima di essere battuto all’asta da Sotheby’s in occasione della Luxury Week con un valore stimato di trai 22 Million CHF e i $25 Million CHF. Della stessa collezione fanno parte due diamanti bianchi sempre firmati Bulgari e risalenti ai primi anni 1970; uno a forma di pera di 12,08 carati (stima CHF 550.000-640.000 / US $ 600.000-700.000); uno taglio di 18.78 carati (stima CHF 830.000-1.285.000 / US $ 900.000-1.400.000). Vi è una quarta pietra firmata Pederzani, un diamante bianco di 8,33 carati (stima CHF 325’000-460’000 / US$ 350’000-500’000).

Sotheby’s ha annunciato altre due vendite straordinarie, quella dell’Eternal Pink, il diamante rosa violaceo più prezioso mai apparso ad un’asta (stima superiore a $ 35 milioni) e l’Estrella de FURA 55.22, il più grande rubino mai arrivato sul mercato (stima superiore a $ 30 milioni), entrambi saranno presenti all’asta Magnificent Jewels che si terrà a New York l’8 giugno.

The largest blue diamond had its world premier at the Met Gala in New York set in a beautiful necklace created by Bulgari and worn by Priyanka Chopra Jonas, she was dressed by Valentino for the occasion. In 1970 Bulgari created the “Bulgari Blue Lagoon” ring for a European family and since then it has always remained their property. The stone used for this ring is an extraordinary blue diamond in an unmodified pear-shaped at 11.16 carats with extraordinary color and purity. Blu diamonds, very rare, are produced by the presence of the trace element boron within the diamond’s carbon structure during its formation deep in the earth’s core. After its appearance on the Red Carpet of the met Gala it will be brought to Geneva where from the 11  May will be exhibited at the Mandarin Oriental before being auctioned by Sotheby’s during Luxury Week with an estimated to Achieve in Excess of 22 Million CHF and $25 Million CHF. The same collection includes two white diamonds also signed Bulgari and dating back to the early 1970s; a pear-shaped weighing 12.08 carats (estimate CHF 550,000-640,000 / US$ 600,000-700,000); one a step-cut diamond weighing 18.78 carats (estimate CHF 830,000-1,285,000 / US $ 900,000-1,400,000). There is a fourth stone signed Pederzani, a pear-shaped white diamond weighing 8.33 carats (estimate CHF 325,000-460,000 / US$ 350,000-500,000).
