La principessa Margherita studiò arte e poi si sposò con l’Arciduca Roberto d’Asburgo-Este, figlio dell’ultimo imperatore d’Austria. Trascorre tutta la sua vita in maniera discreta, lontana da rumors e pettegolezzi ai quali ci hanno abituati i reali di mezzo mondo e fu esemp. Maria Cristina di Savoia, Regina delle Due Sicilie, era d’una bellezza seria e soave e dedicò una gran parte della sua vita ad azioni di bontà verso i poveri e i malati.
Ala cerimonia a Milano erano presenti S.A.I.R. l’Arciduca Martino d’Austria Este, li cavalieri del Sacro Militare Ordine Costantiniano di San Giorgio uniti in fraterna comunione agli Ordini Dinastici della Real Casa di Savoia, la Gebetsliga Kaiser Karl e l’Associazione Internazionale Regina Elena. Il ricavato della colazione di beneficenza che ha seguito la celebrazione è stato devoluto alle opere caritative del Santuario della Consolata di Torino cui era particolarmente devota S.A.I.R. l’Arciduchessa Margherita.
