Pomeriggi d’estate

Cin Cin!

The words are precious and have their own power, like the names. Our names are chosen by people who love us even before they know us and who have decided to give us life. There are cultures, sciences and beliefs which give the names vibrations and particular powers. They identify us and each has its own meaning, its origin and its etymology. Today, the 18th of July, is my name day and I read some curiosities about my name: it has Germanic origins and derives from frithurik, composed of the word frithu, it means “peace, security” and rikya, it means “powerful”; the 18th of July is the day of St. Frederick, bishop of Utrecht; my lucky number is 5, although I really like 7; my stone is diamond (it is true) and my metal is gold (I prefer the white one). I have always celebrated my name day almost like my birthday, a widespread tradition especially in the south of Italy. And when I want celebrateI can not miss the bubbles. Today I chose La Scolca, I like particularly it and I chose a bottle of Soldati Brut, a light-colored, lively and bright wine; it has an intensely elegant and persistent scent; a frank, balanced, delicately acidic taste with a pleasant hint of almond. Cheers!
