Pink and the City

Oggi avevo voglia di delicatezza, femminilità e amore. Così mi sono tuffata in una nuvola tutta rosa. Un colore che noi donne amiamo particolarmente in tutte le sue sfumature e tonalità. E’ infatti il simbolo dell’amore tenero e soave e dell’ottimismo, rafforza l’intuito femminile, libera la mente dai pensieri negativi, dona la capacità di perdonare il prossimo, accettando il fatto che siamo umani e si può sbagliare. Ho però scoperto una curiosità che in pochi sanno, anticamente il rosa era invece il simbolo della virilità maschile e della forza, perché nasceva dall’unione del rosso e del bianco. Fu solo a partire dagli anni ’30 e ’40 che iniziò ad essere indossato dalle bambine. Pensate che l’usanza di appendere un nastro rosa per la nascita di una femminuccia iniziò solo dopo l’uscita del libro “Piccole donne”. Io mi godo il mio momento pink, mangiando un gelato e leggendo un libro.

Today I wanted  to feel delicacy, femininity and love. So I dived into an all-pink cloud. The women especially love this color and all its shades. It is the symbol of tender and suave love and of the optimism, it strengthens the feminine intuition, frees the mind from negative thoughts, gives the ability to forgive others, accepting that we can mistake. I discovered a curiosity that few people know, in ancient times pink was instead the symbol of male manhood and strength, because it was born from the union of red and white. It was only in the 1930s and 1940s that pink began to be worn by girls. The custom of hanging a pink when a girl born, began only after the release of the book “Little Women”.
