C’è un luogo che da tempo attirava la mia attenzione e suscitava in me la voglia di vederlo, così finalmente, per realizzare il primo desiderio dell’anno ci sono andata. Un luogo incantato nel cuore della Franciacorta nel quale si respira il fascino della storia e del territorio. L’Albereta un tempo era antica dimora neorinascimentale, fu costruita alla fine dell’Ottocento sulla collina Bellavista dall’avvocato Giovanni Cavalleri, qui vi abitò con la moglie Anna, musicista, appassionata di arte e pittura e importante mecenate. Questa casa divenne punto di riferimento per il panorama artistico e culturale dell’Italia settentrionale della prima metà del Novecento e rimase proprietà della famiglia fino a quando fu acquistata dall’imprenditore Vittorio Moretti. Sua figlia, sin da bambina, aveva il sogno di trasformarla in un luogo dedicato al culto dell’ospitalità, e grazie alla sua passione per la cucina si legò allo chef Gualtiero Marchesi e nel 1993 aprì l’hotel.

Passeggiando per il lussureggiante Parco delle Sculture di Franciacorta sembra di essere in un vero e proprio museo a cielo aperto, nel quale natura e scultura dialogano tra loro. Gli spazi sono luminosi e suggellano un perfetto matrimonio tra storia e contemporaneità. Il ristorante LEONEFELICE VISTA LAGO offre una cucina di tradizione in un contesto di estrema bellezza e con vista sul Lago d’Iseo. Io ho scelto il menù al tartufo d’Alba, accompagnato dal vino della loro cantina, Vigna Leone, chardonnay in purezza di rara eleganza, prodotto dal vigneto privato de L’Albereta e vinificato da Bellavista, introvabile altrove.
There is a place that attracted my attention and aroused in me the desire to see it, so finally, to realize the first wish of the year I went there. An enchanted place in the heart of Franciacorta where we can breathe the charm of history and territory. The Albereta was once an ancient neo-Renaissance residence, it was built at the end of the nineteenth century on the Bellavista hill by the lawyer Giovanni Cavalleri, here he lived with his wife Anna, musician, passionate about art and painting and important patron. This house became a reference point for the artistic and cultural panorama of northern Italy in the first half of the twentieth century and remained the property of the family until it was purchased by the entrepreneur Vittorio Moretti. His daughter, since she was a child, had the dream of transforming it into a place dedicated to the cult of hospitality, and thanks to her passion for cooking she linked herself to chef Gualtiero Marchesi and in 1993 she opened the hotel. Walking through the lush Franciacorta Sculpture Park seems to be in a real open-air museum, where nature and sculpture interact with each other. The spaces are bright and seal a perfect marriage between history and modernity. The restaurant LEONEFELICE VISTA LAGO offers traditional cuisine in a context of extreme beauty and overlooking the Iseo Lake. I chose the Alba truffle menu, accompanied by the Vigna Leone, a chardonnay in purity of rare elegance, produced from the private vineyard of L’Albereta and vinified by Bellavista, unobtainable elsewhere.
