La Scuderia Sant Ambroeus e la Dakar Classic

E’ passato del tempo da quando, il 13 marzo del 1951 fu costituita a Milano, da un gruppo di amici appassionati di sport automobilistico, un’associazione a carattere culturale: la “Scuderia Sant Ambroeus”. Questi amici erano: Eugenio Dragoni, Alberto della Beffa, Franco Martinengo, Alessandro Zafferri e Elio Zagato. A poco a poco questo club si è allargato fino a contare una settantina di soci che parteciparono a importanti competizioni italiane e straniere.

Con il passare degli anni questa scuderia si perse nelle sabbie del tempo sino a che altri amici ed appassionati, tra cui Carlo Gritti Morlacchi, Marco Galassi, Uberto Pietra, Michele Marchianò e Giovanni Papa, l’hanno voluta riportare in vita. Mercoledì 8 Marzo è stata organizzata una serata per festeggiare i temerari piloti della Scuderia Sant Ambroues che hanno partecipato in Arabia Saudita all’edizione 2023 della Dakar Classic a bordo dei veicoli d’epoca del Team Tecnosport. Tra gli ospiti presenti Guido Meda e il padre Filippo che fu compagno di Zagato, di Martinengo e degli altri quando la Scuderia fu fondata e i due hanno potuto incontrare la figlia di Zagato dando il via ad emozioni e ricordi.

A long time has passed since the 13th of March 1951, when the “Scuderia Sant Ambroeus”, a cultural association, was founded in Milan by a group of friends passionate about motor sport. These friends were: Eugenio Dragoni, Alberto della Beffa, Franco Martinengo, Alessandro Zafferri and Elio Zagato. Over the years this club has grown and there were about seventy members who participated in important Italian and international competitions. After this club was lost in the sands of time until other friends and enthusiasts, including Carlo Gritti Morlacchi, Marco Galassi, Uberto Pietra, Michele Marchianò and Giovanni Papa, wanted to bring it back to life. On Wednesday, the 8th of March 2023, an event was organized to celebrate the daring drivers of the Scuderia Sant Ambroues who participated in the 2023 edition of the Dakar Classic in Saudi Arabia aboard the vintage vehicles of the Tecnosport Team. Among the guests present there were Guido Meda and his father Filippo who was a pilot with Zagato, Martinengo and the others when the Scuderia was founded and Guido and Filippo could meet the Zagato’s daughter and there were many emotions and memories.
