La Grand Opening delle Terme De Montel

27 Marzo, 2025 Published in Events

Yesterday, Wednesday 26 March, there was the inauguration event of De Montel-Terme in Milan, the largest natural urban thermal park in Europe. A grandiose project that lasted three years and which saw the light of day yesterday. The former Scuderie De Montel, a splendid example of Art Nouveau architecture, had been abandoned for decades, and thanks to the Infrastructure Fund for Growth – ESG (IPC Fund), managed by Azimut Libera Impresa SGR of the Azimut Group and the Terme & SPA Italia Group, they have been transformed into a magical place. Think of 16,000 square meters of surface (of which 6,000 indoors and 10,000 outdoors between courtyards and green areas) entirely dedicated to well-beingThe stables were originally designed in the 20s at the behest of the noble De Montel family of bankers, of Jewish origin. Giuseppe De Montel had two great passions: entrepreneurship in the textile sector and horse racing. With the outbreak of the Second World War, Montel was forced to leave and this place was entrusted first to a congregation of nuns, then to the State which, however, left them abandoned. Below, however, there was a historic spring of thermal water and in 2007 the idea was had to exploit its properties. In the restoration, which has preserved its style, charm and allure, particular attention has been paid to the theme of sustainability. Solar panels, collection buckets for the recovery of rainwater used for irrigation and internal maintenance, an advanced system of covers for the tanks that allows efficient temperature management and minimization of emissions have been prepared. Guests can enjoy ten thermal pools, different types of saunas, a steam bath, a hammam and a saline tepidarium, spacious relaxation areas, refreshments and treatments, as well as of course a bistro restaurant, a café, a lounge bar and a summer bar. In the light of the sunset, an aperitif took place in the beautiful park, then a buffet dinner was served at the end of which musicians and performers entertained the guests.
