Italia Golden Age Luxury Night

Nella splendida cornice dell’Hotel Splendide Royal a Lugano  è stata organizzata una serata magica durante la quale rivivere le atmosfere della Dolce Vita. Un cocktail di benvenuto e poi, sulle note dell’orchestra On The River Acustic Trio, abbiamo fatto l’ingresso nella grande sala allestita per il pranzo di Gala. Le luci si sono abbassate e sulle note delle notissima GoldenEye di Tina Turner hanno fatto il loro ingresso statuari modelle vestite di seta bianca, in mano piccole torce che illuminavano i gioielli che avevano indosso, gioielli di Antonini Milano e Boite D’Or. Al termine di questa suggestiva performance abbiamo iniziato la cena. Una cena speciale perché arricchita dall’oro. Pensate che gli antichi egizi lo utilizzavano per farcire il pane, per gli imperatoti romani venivano create delle foglie d’oro per decorare le torte e i giapponesi ponevano dei fiocchi d’oro nelle bottiglie di sakè. Nel Medioevo si pensava avesse il potere di contrastare le patologie cardiache. L’oro è stato da sempre utilizzato nei banchetti delle corti reali per ammaliare gli occhi dei commensali. Galeazzo Visconti nel 1386, in occasione del matrimonio della figlia, fece ricoprire d’oro carpe, storioni, pernici e anatre. Fu poi riscoperto da Gualtiero Marchesi che creò una versione di lusso del risotto alla milanese aggiungendovi proprio l’oro.

Per iniziare ci hanno servito crema di asparagi con capesante lardellate, a seguire risotto allo champagne con foglia d’oro; branzino in salsa mediterranea, patate arrosto e verdure glassate; bavarese dorata al cioccolato fondente, frutto della passione e mandorle. Tra una portata e l’altra siamo stati allietati dalla voce si Stefania Chirco, dalle note dell’Orchestra River e dai balli di Eurodancers e abbiamo sfogliato la rivista Celebre Magazine. Un grazie all’organizzazione Petra Peter’s e a Sofia Provera che mi ha inviata e che creato il meraviglioso abito da me indossato per l’occasione.

In the splendid setting of the Hotel Splendide Royal in Lugano, a magical evening was organized during which we could relive the atmosphere of the Dolce Vita. A welcome cocktail and then, on the notes of the orchestra On The River Acustic Trio, we entered the big room set up for the Gala lunch. The lights went down and on the notes of the GoldenEye song of Tina Turner, beautiful models dressed in white silk came, holding small torches that illuminated the jewels they were wearing, jewels by Antonini Milano and Boite D’Or. At the end of this evocative performance we started dinner. A special dinner because enriched by gold. Think that the ancient Egyptians used it to stuff bread, for the Roman emperors gold leaves were created to decorate cakes and the Japanese placed gold flakes in sake bottles. In the Middle Ages gold had the power to counteract heart disease. Gold has always been used in the banquets of the royal courts to charm the eyes of diners. Galeazzo Visconti in 1386, on the occasion of his daughter’s marriage, had carp, sturgeon, partridges and ducks covered with gold. Gold was rediscovered by Gualtiero Marchesi who created a luxury version of Milanese risotto by adding gold. To start we were served asparagus cream with larded scallops, followed by champagne risotto with gold leaf; sea bass in Mediterranean sauce, roasted potatoes and glazed vegetables; Golden Bavarian with dark chocolate, passion fruit and almonds. Between the course we were enlivened by the voice of Stefania Chirco, the notes of the River Orchestra and the dances of Eurodancers and we leafed through the magazine Celebre Magazine. Thanks to the Petra Peter’s organization and Sofia Provera who invited me and created the wonderful dress I wore for the occasion.
