Il XX° anniversario della Modena Cento Ore

Alcune manifestazioni ci regalano indimenticabili cartoline della nostra bella Italia. I suoi luoghi più iconici e suggestivi incorniciano in modo spettacolare le rare e preziose automobili d’epoca. Le verifiche sono state organizzate presso Villa Borghese dove è stato possibile ammirare alcune vetture straordinarie. Tra le più ammirate la Ferrari 250 Berlinetta SWB SEFAC, l’Aston Martin DB 4 GT, la Porsche 911 3.0 RS e la Jaguar E-Type semi-lightweight. Il premio per la linea più bella è stato attribuito alla vettura più antica in competizione: la Ferrari 212 Export del 1952, carrozzata berlinetta da Touring. La parata tra le bellezze della Città Eterna ha suscitato grandi emozioni e ha permesso il passaggio di vetture come la Dallara Stradale, Ferrari Portofino, Lamborghini Countach 25 anniversario, Alfa Romeo 1750 GTAM “Facetti”, Aston Martin DB4 GT, Shelby American Mustang GT 350.

La prima cena di Gala è stata organizzata alla Terrazza Caffarelli, raggiunta dopo aver salito l’iconica Scalinata del Campidoglio illuminato dal tricolore. Il giorno dopo si è partiti alla volta di Monerotondo, Rieti, si è passati sul Terminillo per pranzare a Colle Aluffi. Infine, dopo la sfilata ad Assisi, ci si è fermati a Perugia per la cena all’Hotel Brufani.

Il martedì le automobili hanno raggiunto Todi, poi Orvieto e, dopo le prove Autodromo di Magione, hanno sfilato nel centro di Cortona. Dopo un aperitivo ad Arezzo si è giunti a Firenze, in Piazza Ognissanti. Il mercoledì ha visto le vetture cimentarsi in prove libere all’Autodromo del Mugello e, dopo essere passati dal Passo del Giogo e da Cornacchiaia, ci si è goduto il Pranzo al Castello di Villanova. La serata di gala si è tenuta a Palazzo Vecchio a Firenze. Il giovedì si è fatto tappa a Monte Faggiola, Sambuca, Marradi, Palazzuolo sul Senio e, dopo il pranzo in terrazza presso l’Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari di Imola e la gara nell’Autodromo, c’è stato l’arrivo in piazza Roma a Modena, qui si è assistito alla presentazione delle vetture e poi si è tenuto l’aperitivo Trucks. Dopo la cerimonia sul podio la cena si è tenuta presso l’Accademia Militare di Modena.

I vincitori della sezione velocità per vetture prodotte fino al 1965: l’equipaggio svizzero T. Kerne e S. Peyer su Jaguar E-Type, gli inglesi J Kennedy e L. Kennedy su Lancia Aurelia B20 GT e gli svizzeri A. Meyer e M. Meyer su Ferrari 250 GT SWB SEFAC. I vincitori della sezione velocità dopo il 1965: l’equipaggio belga G. Janssens e T. De Geetere su Porsche 911 SC, seguito dal team inglese A. Siddali e S. Perez su Ford Escort RS 1800 e dal team inglese P.L. Kadoorie e D. Wells su Porsche 911 3.0 RS. Nella Classifica Index of Performance: gli inglesi J. Kennedy e L. Kennedy su Lancia Aurelia B20GT seguiti dagli svizzeri T. Kern e S. Peyer su Jaguar E-Type e dagli svizzeri A. Meyer e M. Meyer su Ferrari 250 GT SWB SEFAC. Per la Regolarità al primo posto troviamo l’equipaggio tedesco del team Bad Boys Racing S. Rohleder e N. Hahn su Porsche 911 2.4T seguiti dall’equipaggio belga C. De Buck e W. De Buck Porsche 911 Carrera Coupé e dagli inglesi A. Martin e A. Martin su Ford Mustang GT. Il premio speciale Best Ferrari Restoration, offerto dalla Carrozzeria Brandoli, è andato alla Ferrari 250 SWB Berlinetta SEFAC.

In Memoria di Sir Stirling Moss il premio per l’equipaggio che più si è distinto nelle prove sulla strada tra Firenze e Bologna è stato assegnato all’equipaggio A. Martin e A. Martin. Il premio “Spirti of MCO” per l’equipaggio che si è distinto per la caparbietà mostrata nel volerci essere, gareggiare, arrivare a qualsiasi costo, è andato all’equipaggio R. Evans e J Faux su Iso Rivolta IR 300 GT. Vincitore di un estintore (in perfetta efficienza), simbolo perfetto del premio “Fireworks”, l’equipaggio B. Gill e D. Didcock su Ford Escort RS 1600.

Come tradizione una parte del ricavato è stata donata in beneficenza all’associazione Panathlon Club di Modena a sostegno dei progetti per lo sport dedicati ai ragazzi disabili. La gara ha anche un’animo green sottolineato dall’attenzione all’ambiente con l’applicazione del protocollo CarbonZero e la  compensazione delle emissioni residue di CO2 mediante piantumazione di nuovi alberi nell’Appennino Tosco-Emiliano.

The checks were organized at Villa Borghese where there were some extraordinary cars. Among them: the Ferrari 250 Berlinetta SWB SEFAC, the Aston Martin DB 4 GT, the Porsche 911 3.0 RS and the semi-lightweight Jaguar E-Type. The 1952 Ferrari 212 Export, berlinetta coach from Touring won the prize for the most beautiful line. The parade among the Roma’s beauties gave great emotions and allowed the passage of special cars like the Dallara Stradale, the Ferrari Portofino,the Lamborghini Countach 25 anniversary, the Alfa Romeo 1750 GTAM “Facetti”, the Aston Martin DB4 GT, the Shelby American Mustang GT 350. The first Gala dinner was organized at the Terrazza Caffarelli, and the iconic Campidoglio’s stair was illuminated by the tricolor. The next day the cars went to Monerotondo, Rieti, Terminillo and, the raiders had the lunch at Colle Aluffi. Finally, after the parade at Assisi, they stopped at Perugia for the dinner at the Hotel Brufani. On Tuesday the cars went to Todi, Orvieto, the Magione Racetrack and Cortona. After an aperitif at Arezzo they arrived in Florence in Piazza Ognissanti. On Wednesday the cars went to the Mugello Racetrack, Passo del Giogo and Cornacchiaia, they enjoyed lunch at Villanova castle. The Gala Evening was held at Palazzo Vecchio at Florence. On Thursday they stopped in Monte Faggiola, Sambuca, Marradi, “Palazzuolo sul Senio” and, after lunch on the terrace at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari Racetrack at Imola and a race in the Autodrome, they arrived in Piazza Roma at Modena, here there was the presentation of the cars and the Trucks aperitif. After the ceremony on the podium there was the dinner at the Military Academy of Modena. The winners of the speed section for cars produced until 1965: the Swiss crew, T. Kerne and S. Peyer, on Jaguar E-Type, the English one, J Kennedy and L. Kennedy, on lancia Aurelia B20 GT and the Swiss one, A. Meyer and M. Meyer, on Ferrari 250 GT SWB SEFAC. The winners of the speed section after 1965: the Belgian crew, G. Janssens and T. De Geetere, on Porsche 911 SC, followed by the British team, A. Siddali and S. Perez, on the Ford Escort RS 1800 and the British team, P.L. Kadoorie and D. Wells, on Porsche 911 3.0 RS. In the Index of Performance ranking: The British team, J. Kennedy and L. Kennedy, on Lancia Aurelia B20GT followed by the Swiss one, T. Kern and S. Peyer, on Jaguar E-Type and the Swiss one, A. Meyer and M. Meyer, on the Ferrari 250 GT SWB SEFAC. For the regularity section in the first place we find the German crew of the Bad Boys Racing team, S. Rohleder and N. Hahn, on Porsche 911 2.4T followed by the Belgian crew, C. De Buck and W. De Buck, on Porsche 911 Carrera Coupé and the British one, A. Martin and A. Martin, on the Ford Mustang GT. The special Best Ferrari Restoration award, offered by Carrozzeria Brandoli, went to the Ferrari 250 SWB Berlinetta SEFAC. In Memory of Sir Stirling Moss, the award for the crew that most distinguished itself in the tests on the road between Florence and Bologna was awarded to the crew A. Martin and A. Martin. The “Spirti of MCO” award went to crew R. Evans and J Faux on Iso Rivolta IR 300 GT. Winner of a fire extinguisher, perfect symbol of the “Fireworks” was the crew B. Gill and D. Didcock on Ford Escort RS 1600. As tradition a part of the proceeds has been donated to the Modena Panathlon Club Association in support of sports projects dedicated to disabled children. The race also has a green soul underlined by the application of the CarbonZero protocol and the compensation of residual CO2 emissions by planting new trees in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines.
