I Funerali della Regina Elisabetta II

Accendere la televisione e seguire in diretta i funerali della Regina Elisabetta II è stato emozionante, suggestivo e mi ha fatto sentire che anch’io faccio parte della storia. E’ stata la più grande Regina di sempre. ha segnato un’epoca e si è fatta amare e rispettare anche fuori dai confini del suo Regno. Nell’immaginario collettivo quando si pensa alla regina subito viene in mente lei. Un’icona di grazia, stile, rispetto verso tutti, eleganza, sapere, diplomazia e maestria nel regnare che ha messo d’accordo tutte le generazioni. In questo triste giorno si sono radunate in presenza e davanti agli schermi milioni di persone, dai più piccoli ai più anziani, per renderle un ultimo omaggio. La prima parte della cerimonia, quella che si è svolta a Westminster e poi ha visto il corteo sfilare per le vie di Londra fino alla sua partenza dalla capitale è stata quella più ufficiale e solenne, una cerimonia che sembrava una danza, perfetta, impeccabile e, nonostante le tristi circostanze, per nulla lugubre. La seconda parte, quella che l’ha vista varcare i cancelli il Castello di Windsor, un luogo da lei amatissimo, ci ha regalato un’immagine più intima e personale, con la presenza dei suoi fedelissimi e inseparabili corgi e del suo splendido cavallo. Un saluto di cuore a questa Grande regina che rimarrà per sempre nei nostri cuori.

Turning on the television and watching the Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral was so exciting, evocative and made me feel that I am part of history. She was the greatest Queen. she marked an era and she was loved and respected even outside the boundaries of her Kingdom. In the collective imagination when we think of the queen immediately comes to mind her. An icon of grace, style, respect for all, elegance, knowledge, diplomacy and mastery in reigning that has brought together all generations. On this sad day, millions of people, from the youngest to the oldest, gathered in the presence and in front of the screens to pay her a final tribute. The first part of the ceremony, the one that took place in Westminster and then saw the parade through the streets of London until its departure from the capital was the most official and solemn, a ceremony that seemed a dance, perfect, impeccable and, despite the sad circumstances, not gloomy. The second part, when she cross the gates of Windsor Castle, a place she loved, gave us a more intimate and personal image, with the presence of her faithful and inseparable corgis and her beautiful horse. A heartfelt greeting to this Great Queen who will remain forever in our hearts.
