Gran Ballo della Venaria Reale

La sera avvolge con il suo manto la magnifica Reggia della Venaria Reale, le luci illuminano discretamente la piazza e la porta dell’orologio è rischiarata da una calda luce, da qui facciamo il nostro ingresso accolti dai suggestivi giochi d’acqua notturni della Fontana del Cervo del Cortile D’Onore. Mi sento come Cenerentala, proiettata in una favola fuori dal tempo, restando affascinata dalla sontuosità delle sale che percorro accompagnata dalle note di dolci violini fino alla magnifica Galleria Grande. Qui veniamo accolti dall’organizzatore, il Notaio Claudio Limontini, che fa gli onori di casa. L’Orchestra Giovanile del Liceo Artistico, Musicale e Coreutico “Felice Casorati” di Novara, diretta dal Maestro Dino Scalabrin, ci intrattiene nell’attesa dell’inizio ufficiale del ballo e Roberta Amendola ed Enrico Galletti ci introducono alla serata riconoscendo il “Premio Costanzo” ad Arianna Fontana e all’Azienda Azimut|Benetti Group. Poi un momento di silenzio e sulle note del Kaiser Waltzer di Strauss le Debuttanti e gli Aspiranti Guardiamarina fanno il loro ingresso, emozionati ed elegantissimi. I candidi abiti delle debuttanti sono stati disegnati da Carlo Pignatelli per renderle ancora più belle. Sulle coreografie di Ida pezzotti debuttanti e cadetti ballano la marcia ed il romanticissimo valzer e sotto le gonne svolazzanti spuntano le scarpette rosse che ognuna di loro indossa come simbolo del loro no alla violenza sulle donne. Al termine ci spostiamo nella sala delLa Citroniera delle Scuderie Juvarriane, qui ci aspetta il Pranzo di Gala accompagnato dai vini di Duchessa Lia.
Verso mezzanotte facciamo tutti ritorno nella Galleria Grande per il taglio della torta e il Sabrage con successivo brindisi Ghere Ghere Ghez..GHEZ! ripetuto tre volte, secondo la tradizione dell’areonautica militare. Quest’anno le debuttanti hanno voluto testimoniare la loro solidarietà per tutte le Donne iraniane e ricordare con rispetto la morte delle tre giovani iraniane, vittime del regime dell’Ayatollah. Cos’ d’apprima hanno legato una piccola ciocca di capelli con un nastrino rosso e poi con una forbice sempre nel simbolico colore rosso hanno tagliato quelle stesse ciocche da inviare, accompagnate da una lettera, all’Ambasciata Iraniana in Italia. La serata è proseguita con la tradizionale quadriglia e poi tutti libero di ballare fino all’alba.

Uscendo da quello stesso cancello che qualche ora fa aveva sancito l’inizio di un sogno, sento i miei tacchi che, nel silenzio della notte, risuonano nella grande piazza vuota antistante alla Reggia , mi giro per volgere un ultimo sguardo a quel luogo, consapevole di essere di nuovo tornata alla realtà, ma con un ricordo speciale nel cuore. Un grazie speciale alla talentuosa Sofia Provera, con l’abito che ha creato mi ha fatto sentire bellissima e una vera principessa delle favole.

Madrina di questa edizione  è stata la Principessa Tana Ruffo di Calabria; la serata ha permesso di raccogliere fondi a favore di SOS Villaggi dei Bambini Onlus, parte del network SOS Children’s Villages, la più grande Organizzazione a livello mondiale impegnata da oltre 70 anni nell’assistenza di bambini e ragazzi che non possono beneficiare di adeguate cure genitoriali.

The evening wraps the magnificent “Reggia della Venaria Reale” with its mantle, the lights discreetly illuminate the square and the clock door is illuminated by a warm light, here we are welcomed by the suggestive nocturnal water games of the Deer Fountain of the Cortile D’Onore. I feel like Cenerentala, projected into a timeless fairy tale, being fascinated by the sumptuousness of the rooms that I walk accompanied by the notes of sweet violins to the magnificent Galleria Grande. Here we are welcomed by the organizer, the Notary Claudio Limontini, who does the honors. The Youth Orchestra of the Artistic, Musical and Choral High School “Felice Casorati” of Novara, directed by Maestro Dino Scalabrin, entertains us waiting for the official start of the Ball and Roberta Amendola and Enrico Galletti introduce us to the evening by recognizing the “Costanzo Award” to Arianna Fontana and to the Azimut Company| Benetti Group. Then a moment of silence and on the notes of Strauss’s Kaiser Waltzer the excited and elegant Debutantes and the Aspiring Midshipman make their entrance. The white dresses of the debutantes were designed by Carlo Pignatelli to make them even more beautiful. On the choreography of Ida pezzotti debutants and cadets dance the march and the romantic waltz and under the fluttering skirts the red shoes sprout, each Debutantes wears them as a symbol of their no to violence against women. At the end we move to the hall of the Citroniera in the Scuderie Juvarriane, here the Gala Lunch awaits us accompanied by the wines of Duchessa Lia. At midnight we came back to the Galleria Grande for the cutting of the cake and the Sabrage with subsequent toast Ghere Ghere Ghez .. GHEZ! repeated three times, according to the tradition of the Air Force. This year the debutantes wanted to testify their solidarity with all Iranian women and remember with respect the death of the three young Iranians, victims of the Ayatollah’s regime. So first they tied a small lock of hair with a red ribbon and then they cut those with symbolic red scissors, these locks will be sent with a letter, to the Iranian Embassy in Italy. The evening continued with the traditional quadrille and then everyone was free to dance until dawn. Coming out of that same gate that a few hours ago had sanctioned the beginning of a dream, I feel my heels that, in the silence of the night, resonate in the large empty square in front of the Palace, I turn to take a last look at the Palace, aware of having returned to reality again, but with a special memory in my heart. A special thanks to the talented Sofia Provera, the dress which she created made more beautiful and a true fairytale princess. Godmother of this edition was Princess Tana Ruffo di Calabria; the evening raised funds for SOS Children’s Villages Onlus, part of the SOS Children’s Villages network, the largest organization in the world engaged for over 70 years in the assistance of children and young people who cannot benefit from adequate parental care.” The Grand Ball of Venaria Reale” gives us an appointment in 2023.
