Se come me amate i luoghi ricchi di fascino e storia rimarrete incantati da questo hotel. Qui nel 1865 sorgeva Villa Elisabetta, punto di ritrovo del bel mondo europeo. Nel gennaio del 1901 fu trasformata nel Kursaal Rapallo che poi divenne Excelsior Palace Hotel. L’artista inglese Melita Rowe amava soggiornare in questo luogo e ne scrisse una sorta di biografia dei momenti più felici che vi trascorse. Sulla sua panoramica terrazza furono girate alcune scene del film “Battesimo di Nave”, il primo con ambientazioni esterne riprese dal vero, e fu teatro della firma del trattato italo-jugoslavo del ‘20 e di quello tra Russia e Germania, del’22.

If you like places full of charm and history like me, you will be enchanted by this hotel. Here in 1865 stood Villa Elisabetta, a meeting point of the beautiful European world. In January 1901 it was transformed into the Kursaal Rapallo and later became Excelsior Palace Hotel. The English artist Melita Rowe loved to stay in this place and wrote a sort of biography of the happiest moments she spent here. On its panoramic terrace were filmed some scenes of the film “Baptism of Ship”, the first with external settings taken real, and was the scene of the signing of the Italian-Yugoslav treaty in ’20 and the one between Russia and Germany in ’22. Guests can enjoy a breathtaking view, relax by the pool or in the Spa and eat in one of the exclusive and refined restaurants.
