“Elisabetta II – Ritratto di Regina”

28 Maggio, 2019 Published in Events

Io, l’ho semplicemente vissuto”. Elisabetta II

In this moment, you’ll be noticing, my idea of luxury is more connected with refined style, elegance and expertise that invokes the nobility not only of lineage, but also of soul. The person who ever embodies all these qualities is undoubtedly the Queen Elizabeth II. A woman with an innate charisma that knew how to acquire hearts and the attentions of the world from her first steps, becoming the most admired and photographed person in the world. Her first official photo, taken on the 2nd of December 1926 by Marcus Adams/Press Room, was found by chance in an old Cottage, purchased at an auction. From here begins the brilliant, intriguing and fascinating book wrote by Paola Cabrera, who describe the portrait of Elizabeth II, sometimes unusual and always captivating, which traces her life through the shots of the most important photographers. A Queen who chose photos and clothes like her unique way of communication. She has always accepted her role with great dedication and passion and still personally reads and signed every law. The talks with the Prime Ministers have always been secret and when someone asked to Winston Churchill what they said, he answered: we was speaking about horse racing. Her love for Prince Philip is big and strong, despite the disapproval of her family which proposed her many suitors, hoping she could change her mind. The color of her clothes is chosen very carefully, bright green for her visit in Ireland, celeste for the centenary of British Airway, blue Europe in occasion of the referendum about the Brexit … and her inseparable handbag, through which communicates with her ladies … ” If I dress beige clothes anybody would know me”. Queen Elizabeth II.
She has a “pop” side, she chose to recite in a cameo with Daniel Craig-James Bond on the occasion of the opening ceremony of the Olympics; and sat alongside Anna Wintour in the front row of the Richard Quinn’s fashion shows at the London Fashion Week. An extraordinary Queen told in a book that we read in one breath, written by Paola Cabrera with the support of Livia Corbò, photo editor. The presentation was conducted by Giuseppe Fantasia and, among the guests, there was actor Ferruccio Soleri, who played Harlequin in front of Elizabeth II, she paid him her personally complimented … Her dismissal of the only reporter with whom he agreed to revive the Supreme moment of her Kingdom: “Alastair, you studied this for all your lifetime. I just lived it”. Elizabeth II.
