Duetto Spider by Garage Italia

Se pensiamo all’estate ci vengono in mente le spiagge, gli ombrelloni, le creme solari e nell’immaginario italiano pensiamo alla riviera romagnola con la sua esuberante allegria, la sua calorosa accoglienza, le cabine colorate e la mitica piadina. I ricordi più belli portano agli anni ’60 quando furono realizzate alcune delle automobili più iconiche, come la Duetto Spider firmata Alfa Romeo. Garage Italia insieme a Carlo Borromeo hanno voluto rivisitare questo mito creando Alfa Romeo Spider la prossima Icon-e Hybrid. Ed eccola nel suo vivace verde acqua, un pattern di legno creato da Ettore Sottsass dello Studio Memphis, interni in morbida pelle luxury arancio di Poltrona Frau. Per ora solo un prototipo, ma potrebbe diventare qualcosa di più. State all’erta 🙂

If we think of summer we think of the beaches, umbrellas, sunscreens and in the Italian imagination we think of the Romagna Riviera with its exuberant joy, its warm welcome, the colorful cabins and the legendary piadina. The best memories go back to the 60s when some of the most iconic cars were made, such as the Alfa Romeo Duetto Spider. Garage Italia and with Carlo Borromeo wanted to revisit this myth by creating the Alfa Romeo Spider Icon-e Hybrid. And now it is here in its lively teal, a wooden pattern created by Ettore Sottsass of Studio Memphis, interiors in soft orange luxury leather by Poltrona Frau. For the moment it is only a prototype, but it could become something more. Be on the lookout 🙂
