Dove la sartorialità prende vita

A Milano esistono molte botteghe storiche che mantengono immutato il loro fascino e il loro valore. La tradizione del saper fare e del saper fare bene regalano quella cura al dettaglio e al cliente che solo la passione e la maestria possono dare. Famiglie che da generazioni si tramandano un’arte che rende unico il nostro paese e che ci fa amare, ammirare e riconoscere in tutto il mondo. Valorizzare e parlare di queste realtà per farle conoscere ance alle nuove generazioni è importante per far si che esse mantengano il loro lustro e rimangano in essere.

G.ͭ ͦ ASNAGHI è un negozio storico d’altri tempi aperto a Milano nel 1939. La passione per i tessuti e il senso del bello fecero sì che questo divenne l’indirizzo preferito da molte famiglie milanesi. La qualoità era resa speciale dall’atmosfera accogliente e familiare. Nel corso degli anni vi è stato solo un cambio di sede, uno spostamento di pochi metri che non ha snaturato l’anima dell’attività. Tra gli scaffali troviamo stoffe pregiate che grazie alle sapienti mani dei sarti vengono plasmate per diventare abiti su misura e incarnare l’identità di chi li indossa. 

Durante la giornata dedicata alle botteghe storiche ho avuto il piacere di scoprire le peculiarità di alcuni tessuti e sentire dalle parole di un sarto, Gennaro Esposito, alcuni segreti della creazione di un abito da uomo.

G.ͭ ͦ ASNAGHI is a historic shop from another era, opened in Milan in 1939. A passion for fabrics and a sense of beauty made it a favorite among many Milanese families. The quality was made special by the welcoming, family atmosphere. Over the years, the location has only changed once, a move of just a few meters, but this has not altered the spirit of the business. Among the shelves, we find fine fabrics that, thanks to the expert hands of tailors, are shaped into bespoke suits that embody the wearer’s identity.

During the day dedicated to the historic workshops, I had the pleasure of discovering the unique characteristics of some fabrics and hearing from a tailor, Gennaro Esposito, some of the secrets of creating a men’s suit.
