“Cavalli e Motori” 2022

11 Aprile, 2022 Published in Events | Motors, Yachts and Airplanes

A wonderful Sunday kissed by the sun in which we paid a tribute to the Novara area and its excellences. A territory that little by little we are discovering thanks to the Sporting Club Monterosa. The equestrian center has always hosted international competitions and in these occasions it creates pleasant events. In this case it combined the passion for the elegant quadrupeds with the passion for classic four wheels and organized a mini tour through the surrounding countryside. The Autoamatori Club Novara welcomed the invitation with pleasure and after meeting at the Sporting we began a very nice journey through small villages to the “Cantine Francoli” in Ghemme. Here we learned the origins of this winery, born as a distillery in 1875, and we got to know its wines, tasted during an aperitif in the garden. In particular, we tasted the Barlàn, a rosé that comes from Nebbiolo grapes whose nobility is only partially masked by the fresh palate and the pink-golden color of this D.O.C wine. After a Erbavoglio, considered the “reddest of white wines” for the particular strength and intensity aromas and flavors. The first traces of this white grape variety date back to 1600. After this appreciated break we went to the restaurant “Piccolo Borgo” in Momo where we could delight the palate with an appetizer consisting of typical mixed cold cuts, with the famous “panissa”, rice cooked with pork salami preserved in fat and savoy cabbage, and finally a piece of gorgonzola. After we came back to the sporting to the awards and the ritual photos. The Volksvagen blue won the most pretty car award, the Fiat 500 Belvedere was the second and the Ford Mustang the third.
