Aston Martin DB5 “Goldfinger Continuation”

Una delle auto più famose e desiderate al mondo è arrivata, solo per pochi giorni, nello showroom di Aston Martin Milano. Un sogno che solo pochissimi collezionisti potranno trasformare in realtà, infatti la casa britannica ha realizzato solamente 25 esemplari della DB5 “Goldfinger Continuation”. E io, insieme a Sergio Roncoroni di AmoreWorld, sono andata a vederla da vicino per voi. Appena entrati in showroom siamo stati accolti dalle bollicine del famoso Champagne Bollinger, lo champagne che dal 1979, anno di uscita del film “Moonraker – Operazione Spazio” accompagna James Bond nelle sue avventurose missioni.

E’ una vera emozione trovarsela davanti, sapendo che il primo e più famoso proprietario di questo modello fu l’agente segreto più amato e ammirato al mondo, James Bond, che la guidò nel film del 1964 “Goldfinger”. L’ultima DB5 fu prodotta 55 anni fa nello stabilimento Aston Martin di Newport Pagnell.

Ora la produzione  di questa vettura è ripresa, anche se solo per pochissimi esemplari, resi ancora più straordinari grazie ai numerosi gadget ad ispirazione “007” in dotazione e funzionanti, creati grazie alla collaborazione con EON Productions, filmmaker di Bond: un sistema di erogazione fumo e olio posteriore, targhe rotanti anteriori e posteriori con tre configurazioni differenti, ‘mitragliatrici’ che fuoriescono dalle frecce anteriori, ovviamente simulate, protezione antiproiettile posteriore, arieti integrati nei paraurti anteriori e posteriori, schermo radar, telefono integrato nella portiera del conducente, tasto di espulsione posto all’interno del cambio solo per bellezza, comandi posti nel vano porta oggetti tra i sedili e telecomando per l’attivazione dei gadget se ci si trova fuori dall’abitacolo.

Ognuna delle 25 DB5 ‘Job 1’ è stata realizzata grazie al lavoro dei migliori artigiani e ingegneri del Regno Unito a Newport Pagnell; ogni componente è stata ricreata esattamente come usciva dalla fabbrica cinquanta o sessant’anni prima, la verniciatura è in Silver Birch, proprio come l’originale e vi sono pannelli esterni in alluminio che mascherano la struttura del telaio in acciaio. Il motore è un 6 cilindri in linea aspirato da 4,0 litri e da 290 CV, tripla SU e air cooler; il cambio è manuale ZF a cinque velocità, la trazione posteriore e vi è un differenziale a slittamento meccanico limitato. C’è un solo ma, questa vettura purtroppo non può circolare su strada perché costruita si nel 2021, ma seguendo gli standard degli anni ’60, quindi non rispetta le attuali norme di sicurezza e i limiti imposti sulle emissioni.

Quanto costa? Bastano, si fa per dire, 3,2 milioni di euro (più tasse). Per quelli di voi che possono solo continuare a sognarla ci potrebbe essere un’alternativa divertente, l’Aston Martin DB5 Goldfinger creata dalla Lego!

One of the most famous and desired cars has arrived, only for a few days, in the Aston Martin Milano Showroom. Only very few collectors could realize this dream, in fact the British company has made only 25 examples of the DB5 “Goldfinger Continuation”. I, with Sergio Roncoroni, the director of AmoreWorld, went to see it for you. When we arrived in the showroom we were greeted by the bubbles of the famous Champagne Bollinger, this champagne, since 1979, in this year the film “Moonraker – Operation Space” was presented, was with James Bond on his adventurous missions. Be in front of it was a vert emotion, knowing that the first and most famous owner of this model was the most loved and admired secret agent in the world, James Bond, who drown it in the 1964 in the film “Goldfinger”. The last DB5 was produced 55 years ago at the Aston Martini Newport Pagnell factory. Now the production of this car has resumed, although only for a very few pieces, and these cars are made even more extraordinary thanks to the numerous “007” gadgets, created thanks to the collaboration with EON Productions, bond filmmaker: a smoke and rear oil dispensing system,  front and rear rotating number plates with three different configurations, ‘machine guns’ coming out of the front arrows, obviously simulated, rear bulletproof protection, rams integrated into the front and rear bumpers, radar screen, phone integrated into the driver’s door, ejection button placed inside the gearbox, it does’t work, controls placed in the object compartment between the seats and remote control for activating gadgets if you are outside the car. Each of the 25 DB5 ‘Job 1s’ was created thanks to the work of the UK’s best craftsmen and engineers in Newport Pagnell; each component has been recreated exactly the fifty or sixty years ones, the painting is in Silver Birch, like the original and there are aluminum external panels to mask the steel structure. The engine is a 4.0-liter, 290 hp, triple SU and air cooler 6 cylinders in line aspirated; there are: a gearbox is a five-speed ZF manual, rear drive and a limited mechanical slip differential. But unfortunately this car cannot drive on the road because it is built in 2021, but following the standards of the 60s, so it does not comply with current safety standards and emission limits. How much does it cost? 3.2 million euros (plus taxes). For those of you who can only keep dreaming there could be a fun alternative, the Aston Martin DB5 Goldfinger created by Lego!
