The seventh edition of the Venice Boat Show transformed the Arsenale into a major stage for Italian pleasure boating. The traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Senate President Ignazio La Russa, Mayor of Venice Luigi Brugnaro, President of the Veneto Region Alberto Stefani, and the Commander of the Italian Navy Schools, Admiral Stefano Barbieri, as well as civil and military authorities. The ceremony was graced by the Coro della Fenice and the Commando Subacquei e Incursori (COMSUBIN) commandos, who performed a precision parachute drop from two Navy Air Force helicopters.

Italian and European nautical leaders anchored over 300 vessels at the docks, while the covered area hosted manufacturers and companies involved in the nautical sector. The Mediterranean Sea is home to many nautical landmarks, from the French group Beneteau, which has chosen to open its production facility in Monfalcone, to the Ferretti Group, which has offices in Ravenna and Ancona. Splendid Venice will once again be the capital of excellence, and pleasure boating will be an ambassador for Made in Italy. This edition of the show showed great attention to sustainable boating and the times regarding marine environmental protection.

The “Riviera” hosted large yachts and the latest developments from international shipyards: among these, the Ferretti Group was present with seven boats, including the world premiere of the Ferretti 670 and the Pershing 6X; Next Group exhibited the AB 80, a fast flybridge with hydrojet propulsion; and the electric-powered sailing catamaran Sunreef 70 by Sunreef Yachts, a masterpiece of design and innovation, a 70-foot yacht. Numarine, from Turkey, made its debut at the Show with the 30XP, the first diesel-electric model in the successful Explorer XP range. Beneteau’s Gran Turismo 50 made its world debut in the water, along with the Greenline 42 by Greenline Yachts, ushering in a new era in hybrid navigation. The show also features models that interpret boating as a lifestyle: the design of the Azimut Magellano 66 with its Dual Mode hull, which guarantees stability and comfort; the craftsmanship of Invictus Yacht with the TT460; and the world premiere of Biondi Yacht’s Calita, an 11-meter catamaran that marks a double debut: for the vessel itself and for the shipyard’s first appearance at the Show. A waterfront showcases diverse styles and ways of experiencing the sea.
