Beauty won’t save the world, but we will try to save beauty. This is an interesting reflection proposed by Maria Vittoria Baravelli, curator of the photography project “Dancing with Nature.” This project was born from a passion for the wondrous land of Africa, a passion deeply rooted in Narghes Sorgato, whose brilliant intuition was further enhanced by the mastery of photographer Ruggero Rosfer. Two ballet stars whose careers have been closely linked to Africa perform a dance alongside some magnificent elephants. The result is evocative, hypnotic, and emotional. Dance, as Aristotle stated, is movement, emotion, and a cathartic expression of the soul. Science has now shown that it is a source of longevity for those who practice it professionally and can also convey well-being to those who watch. On this topic, Dr. Paolo Mariconti has written a fascinating book, “Effetto Danza,” with a preface by Roberto Bolle. The presentation of these two books took place in a very interesting new space, “Animan Fin Art”, an art and philanthropy platform with a soul deeply connected to the animal and natural world. The name, in fact, embodies its essence: Anima, Animal, Man, Woman.
