I vini in abbinamento erano tre.

There are places that touch your soul, that give you vibrant emotions that are difficult to describe and that simply have to be experienced. A historic residence in the heart of Busto Arsizio welcomes us to give us an experience, because booking at Tavolo Unico is not just about going out for dinner. Each of the six rooms is a story of beauty, art and intimacy. Sitting at the table and being surrounded by works by Renoir, Picasso, Dalí, Guttuso, Rodin and De Chirico is something unique. You can feel the vibrations that these great artists communicate through their art in the air, creating a dialogue between what you eat and what surrounds you. Chef Massimiliano Babila Cagelli drew inspiration from these great artists to create his dishes, which he explains poetically in his book Anche Van Gogh mangiava le cozze (Even Van Gogh ate mussels).
I dined in the ‘De Chirico’ room, refined, classic and elegantly antique, enveloped in tales of heroes and battles, like Giorgio de Chirico’s interpretation of the Iliad. The terracotta walls surround the wine cellar and, in addition to the works of art, you are surrounded by over 400 labels. I chose the ‘Origini’ menu, and my journey began with caviar on cauliflower panna cotta; sea bream soup with thyme and chives; octopus cooked for 72 hours in light tempura and potato chips. Then I changed my mind and had spaghetti with champagne and caviar. The chef gave us a taste of Paccheri ai tre pomodori, a tribute to Da Vittorio. I then continued with the menu: Chianina beef tartare with 62° egg yolk and Parmesan egg white; Barbecued smoked pork ribs and finally dessert. There were three wines to accompany the meal. Each dish was a feast for the eyes and the palate.
