Sentirai, il profumo ti arriverà all anima”… (Gabriele D’Annunzio)
Lario Mi Auto celebrates 25 years of collaboration with Land Rover in a very special way. An elegant Pop Up has been set up in Piazza Gae Aulenti in which exclusive events are organized that recall the English and exclusive soul of the brand. I gladly accepted the invitation to discover some curiosities about the tea ritual, so dear to our British friends. The first professional Tea Sommelier in Europe, certified by the Tea and Herbal Association of Canada, Gabriella Lombardi (Chà Tea Atelier), prepared two very special blends, accompanied by some typical finger food. The first proposal is Darjeeling Margaret’s Hope, considered the champagne of teas, comes from the garden of Margaret’s Hope, hidden in the heart of the Himalayas. This garden, one of the most famous and appreciated in the area, is renowned for its tea with a characteristic aroma of muscat with intense spicy notes. The second is Assam Hatialli, grown in the Hatialli gardens, recommended for those looking for a classic rich and full-bodied Indian black tea. The name of the gardens derives from Hatti Alli which means “Elephant Road”. To accompany them the classic sandwiches with cooked ham and mustard and scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam. In Devon the clotted cream is spread and then the jam is added; in Cornwall, first spread the jam and then add a teaspoon of clotted cream. Queen Elizabeth has publicly stated that she prefers the Cornish way.” I want you to drink my tea. You will feel, the scent will reach your soul”… (Gabriele D’Annunzio)
