30 Gennaio, 2025 Published in Motors, Yachts and Airplanes

The Düsseldorf boot has just ended, let’s find out together some of the news presented and news. The Motorboat Awards 2025 were presented and Azimut won the Innovation Award, an award given to shipyards committed to developing innovative solutions to improve the future of yachting. The Seadeck 6 was awarded as the perfect combination of design innovations and innovations aimed at reducing the environmental impact of the boat. Recycled materials such as cork and Econyl, a fiber from recycled nylon from fishing nets abandoned at sea and other sources, have been introduced; a lightweight structure and hybrid propulsion, demonstrating that “being sustainable does not necessarily mean sacrificing style, luxury, sailing range or speed”. Seadeck 6 has been chosen to usher in the “gentle era” that attests to a new relationship between man and nature. There will be an increasing attempt to create more efficient and sustainable yachts, capable of reducing CO2 emissions by up to 40% compared to a traditional yacht of similar size. All this thanks to the reduction of the weight of the superstructure with the extensive use of carbon fiber and an efficient hull, to a Mild Hybrid Zero Emission Hotel Mode system, made available thanks to the agreement with Volvo Penta, which allows both zero-emission anchorage and navigation with the generator off, further reducing on-board consumption. In addition, Fly 72 received a special mention in the category “Flybridge of the Year over 60 feet”.  The Pearl 82, by Pearl Yachts, is a stunning 25-meter raised wheelhouse yacht designed by Dixon Yacht Design with interior design by Kelly Hoppen Interiors. The yacht boasts four en-suite cabins, an owner’s suite on the main deck, and a spacious tender garage. During the exclusive gala dinner at the Hotel Kö59 Düsseldorf it was awarded in the “Flybridges over 60ft” category for its exceptional combination of space, performance, style and luxury. This yacht allows extraordinary contact with the sea thanks to the opening side balconies and a new hull glazed design that floods the interiors with natural light while offering breathtaking views. During the boat show, Maxim Yachts held a press conference to announce Max 44 R, a daycruiser powered by three 400 horsepower Mercury Verado V10 outboards that exceeds 50 knots maximum.
