Le novità nel mondo Azimut Yachts

8 Novembre, 2024 Published in Motors, Yachts and Airplanes

A year full of news for Azimut Yachts, the latest in chronological order, the awarding of the prestigious EY Entrepreneur of the Year® award to Giovanna Vitelli, President of the Azimut|Benetti, for “having been able to direct the company, not only to growth in size and profitability, but also for having inspired technological changes, projects focused on sustainability, employee well-being and corporate social responsibility”. The Azimut|Over time, Benetti has adopted a strategy that combines concreteness and an ambitious vision to reduce emissions. This strategy includes weight reduction, the use of high-efficiency hulls, hybrid propulsion and on-board power management. In addition, the definition of shared standards for the certification of consumption and emissions is promoted, in order to guide the industry towards an increasingly conscious and mature approach. At FLIBS 2024, Azimut was present, in American preview, with the Seadeck 6, the progenitor of the first hybrid series for families. The exterior lines were designed by Alberto Mancini and the interiors by Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez. Where possible, traditional materials have been replaced with others of natural origin, recycled and recyclable: cork used instead of teak at Econyl; a fiber from nylon regenerated from fishing nets for the carpet of the Lower Deck; PET from recycled plastic replaces PVC for the construction of the inside of the bulkheads. And CO2 emissions can be reduced by up to 40% in an average year of use compared to a yacht of similar size with shaft line propulsion and traditional hull. A new gentle relationship between man and nature also taken up by the interpretations of spaces that offer greater contact with the sea. Seadeck 7 has received the Design Innovation Award 2024 from Confindustria Nautica and I Saloni Nautici in the “motor boats over 14 meters” category. It is in fact the first yacht in the world to combine hybrid power and Volvo Penta’s IPS propulsion. The revolutionary hybrid-electric package allows you to moor and sail in all-electric mode at speeds of up to 11 knots and to easily switch between electric and combustion engines, without a generator on board. Azimut was also an official partner of the 2024 edition of Artissima, the first contemporary art fair in Italy, held in early November at OVAL Lingotto Fiere in Turin. Artissima combines the great attention to experimentation and research with its presence on the international market, thanks to the participation of galleries from all over the world. Azimut oversaw the set-up of the VIP restaurant inside the Fair, welcoming collectors in an environment that tells the story of the brand’s “dare to amaze” universe, among dreamlike and natural landscapes of great impact that are the backdrop to yachts conceived with the courage to amaze with unprecedented stylistic and technological innovations.
