XXIVe Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique

Si è appena svolto il 24esimo Rallye Monte–Carlo Historique che ha regalato ai partecipanti e agli spettatori grandi emozioni. La partenza è avvenuta davanti alla sede dell’Automobile Club di Milano.

Dopo Milano, il percorso ha visto le automobili partire da Reims, attraversare la città di Epernay, capitale della Champagne, passare per Langres per poi giungere a Montecarlo, sfilando nell’esclusivo Port Hercule. Il giorno successivo i concorrenti hanno intrapreso, baciati da un bellissimo sole primaverile, i più di 500km di percorso ce li separavano da Valencia. E’ stata l”occasione per ammirare i suggestivi paesaggi dell’entroterra e località molto amate come Antraigues-sur-Volane nella quale gli equipaggi hanno fatto una dolce pausa assaggiando la sua famosa torta di mele. C’è stata anche l’occasione per fare un salto indietro nel tempo rivedendo alcuni oggetti storici legati a questa competizione. Sulla strada del ritorno verso il Principato le vetture hanno incontrato neve e ghiaccio e purtroppo la 12a tappa del Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique non ha potuto svolgersi nella sua interezza, è infatti stata annullata a causa delle difficili condizioni meteorologiche. La gara è poi ripresa subendo alcune modifiche e l’arrivo a Montecarlo è stato festeggiato in grande stile.

The 24th Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique has just finished and it has given participants and spectators great emotions. The start took place in front of the headquarters of the Automobile Club of Milan. After Milan, the cars went to Reims, crossed the city of Epernay, capital of Champagne, passed through Langres and then arrived in Montecarlo, parading in the exclusive Port Hercule. The next day the drivers started, kissed by a beautiful spring sun, the more than 500km of route to go to Valencia. It was an opportunity to admire the evocative landscapes of the hinterland and some lovely places such as Antraigues-sur-Volane in which the drivers took a sweet break tasting the famous apple pie. There was also an opportunity to take a step back in time by reviewing some historical objects of this race. On the way back to the Principality the cars encountered snow and ice and unfortunately the 12th stage of the Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique could not take place in its entirety, it was in fact canceled due to the difficult weather conditions. The race started again with some changes and the arrival in Monte Carlo was celebrated with enthusiasm and style.
