A magic year with RM Sotehby’s

Rivediamo insieme alcune delle splendide, preziose e rare automobili protagoniste delle esclusive aste di RM Sotheby’s che anche quest’anno hanno fatto battere i cuori dei collezionisti. Alcune aste si sono svolte online, ma questo non le ha rese meno emozionanti.

La Ferrari 250 GT Cabriolet Serie I di Pinin Farina, Telaio n. 0913, del 1958, stimata tra i $6.000.000 e i $7.000.000, è stata la più ammirata a Gennaio in Arizona. Questo fu uno degli ultimi modelli costruiti nel laboratorio boutique di Pinin Farina, prima del trasferimento della produzione in uno stabilimento più grande. Con lei sul podio la Pagani Huayra Roadster del 2018, la 42a su 100 costruita, rifinita in uno splendido TriColore Blu con finiture in trama in carbonio a vista, venduta per $ 2,370,000.

A Palm Beach, a Marzo, si è distinta una magnifica Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta del 2017 in un accattivante vernice Giallo Triplo Strato il cui valore si aggira tra i $ 4,500,000 e i $ 5,500,000. Questa vettura è considerata un must in qualsiasi collezione di Ferrari a livello mondiale. Una parte dei proventi di quest’asta sono stati donati al Covid-19 Response Fund di Feeding America che si occupa dei banchi alimentari durante i disastri.

La Porsche 911 Speedster Heritage Design del 2019, stimata $311.940 e presente ad Atlanta in Aprile, è stata accompagnata da una lettera di autenticità di Porsche che ne confermava il numero di telaio essendo l’ultima vettura prodotta di questa linea. Anche quest’asta ha contribuito a devolvere fondi per la lotta al Covid 19 e vi è stato battuto l’esclusivo Porsche Design 911 Speedster Heritage Design Chronograph.

Durante l’emozionante Driving into Summer, tenutasi a Maggio, c’era l’iconica Ferrari F50 del 1995 in Rosso Corsa su un interno Nero con inserti in tessuto rosso a contrasto è stata stimata tra i $ 2.500.000 e i $ 2.750.000. A farle buona compagnia una delle Una delle sole 272 prodotte, la 288 GTO del 1985 (Tra i $2,200,000 e i $2,400,000). Quest’auto fu rubata al suo proprietario nel garage di un Hotel di Cannes, fu poi ritrovata a Phoenix. E una Ferrari Enzo del 2003, telaio n. 13303, (valore tar i $ 2,600,000 e i $ 2,900,000).

L’asta europea di Londra ha visto la presenza di una Porsche 935 nella suggestiva livrea Martini del 2020, la numero 02 delle sole 77 prodotte, venduta per v1,32 milioni di euro. Era presente un’auto italiana rara e maestosa, la Fiat 8V Coupé del 1954, l’unica Fiat a sfoggiare un motore V-8. Portata nel Regno Unito nel gennaio 1965, è rimasta lì da allora e ha un valore che si aggira tra i € 1.200.000 e i € 1.400.000.

Il successo dell’asta di Monterey è stato dettata dalla presenza di una Pagani Huayra del 2014 del valore di $ 1,848,000; di una Ferrari 550 GT1 Prodrive del 2001 (numero di serie CRD 002/2001, $ 4,290,000), l’auto più preziosa mai venduta in un’asta di auto da collezione online dedicata fino ad oggi; la pluripremiata Ferrari 500 Superfast del 1965 di Pininfarina che incarnava il glamour e l’style dell’epoca ed era l’ammiraglia indiscussa del tendone di Maranello. La 500 Superfast ha fatto il suo debutto al Salone di Ginevra del 1964, con un totale di soli 36 esemplari, valore $2,250,000 – $2,500,000.

Una Lancia Aurelia B52 Spider del 1953 della Carrozzeria Vignale ha illuminato il Festival delle Meraviglie di Sotheby’s. Un vero pezzo unico pluripremiato al Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este ha un valore di 500.000-550.000 CHF.

La speciale asta “Once in a Millennium” si è tenuta a settembre, in occasione del primo gran premio della Scuderia Ferrari al Mugello. Vi è stata battuta, tra le altre cose, una tuta da corsa firmata da Mick Schumacher per 45.600 euro.

Ora non ci resta che attendere l’anno nuove per nuovi entusiasmanti appuntamenti, il primo sarà a Parigi a febbraio, l’asta 2021 avrà un nuovo formato innovativo composto da due parti: una vendita in diretta streaming seguita da una vendita solo online. Ad alcune auto negli anni è stato dato il soprannome di “unicorni”, per sottolinearne l’estrema rarità o, in alcuni casi, unicità. Una di queste auto è la Isdera Commendatore 112i del 1993. Nata da un’idea di Eberhard Schulz, un ingegnere e designer innovativo, che volle omaggiare Enzo Ferrari, l’auto presentava un motore Mercedes-Benz M120 V-12 ed è l’unico esempio esistente.
Ci sarà anche l’incredibile Bentley 41/2 litri Supercharged Tourer del 1931. Questa magnifica auto vanta ancora il suo telaio completo e la targa originale del Regno Unito. Un pezzo davvero meraviglioso e una vera icona dell’età d’oro dell’automobilismo stimato € 4,100,000 – € 5,000,000.

Let’s review together some of the most beautiful, precious and rare cars which are the protagonists of the exclusive RM Sotheby’s auctions, again this year these auctions have excited collectors. Some auctions took place online, they were not less exciting. The 1958 Ferrari 250 GT Cabriolet Series I Pinin Farin, Chassis No. 0913, Est $6,000,000 – $7,000,000, was the most admired in January in Arizona. This was one of the last models built in Pinin Farina’s boutique workshop, before the transfer of the production to a larger building.
