Sul più esclusivo lago ghiacciato del mondo si è tenuto il 40esimo anniversario della Snow Polo World Cup St. Moritz. Questo evento ha portato a St. Moritz negli anni alcuni dei migliori giocatori di polo, gli esponenti del jet-set internazionale e i media mondiali. Un evento ideato da Reto Gaudenzi che negli anni ha saputo accrescere il proprio allure di bellezza ed esclusività e che unisce sport e glamour. Quest’anno sono scesi in campo, tra gli altri, il cinque volte vincitore Max Charlton, il doppio detentore del titolo Tito Gaudenzi e la talentuosa superstar dell’high goal Facundo Sola. Gli spettatori, giunti da tutto il mondo, hanno goduto di un’ospitalità a cinque stelle e, mentre si godevano le competizioni, hanno sorseggiato calici di champagne Perrier-Jouët e di Villa Sandi, hanno degustato fresche ostriche e prelibatezze. Il sabato sera si è tenuta l’esclusiva cena di gala in cravatta nera al Badrutt’s Palace, evento super ambito.

La neve caduta domenica non ha certo scoraggiato né i giocatori né gli spettatori, ma ha reso lo spettacolo ancora più suggestivo. Pensate che proprio 40 anni fa, quando si giocò la prima Coppa del Mondo di Polo sulla neve, il giorno della finale, ci fu una forte nevicata; come Reto Gaudenzi ha ricordato: “Si chiama snowpolo per un motivo!”. A vincere quest’anno il team The Kusnacht Practice. Dopo un weekend ricco di emozioni si è conclusa la storica edizione del 40° anniversario di questo iconico evento; sono state già annunciate le date per il 2026 e saranno dal 30 Gennaio al 1 Febbraio 2026.

The 40th anniversary of the Snow Polo World Cup St. Moritz was held on the world’s most exclusive frozen lake. This event has brought some of the best polo players, the exponents of the international jet-set and the world media to St. Moritz over the years. An event conceived by Reto Gaudenzi who over the years has been able to increase his allure of beauty and exclusivity and which combines sport and glamour. This year, among others, five-time winner Max Charlton, double title holder Tito Gaudenzi and talented high goal superstar Facundo Sola took to the field. Spectators from all over the world enjoyed five-star hospitality and, while enjoying the competitions, sipped glasses of Perrier-Jouët champagne from Villa Sandi, tasted fresh oysters and delicacies. On Saturday evening, the exclusive black-tie gala dinner was held at Badrutt’s Palace, a super-coveted event. The snow that fell on Sunday certainly did not discourage either the players or the spectators, but it made the spectacle even more impressive. Just think that just 40 years ago, when the first Polo World Cup was played on the snow, on the day of the final, there was a heavy snowfall; as Reto Gaudenzi recalled: “It’s called snowpolo for a reason!”. This year’s winner was The Kusnacht Practice team. After a weekend full of emotions, the historic 40th anniversary edition of this iconic event has come to an end; The 2026 dates for the St. Moritz Snow Polo World Cup have been confirmed from Friday 30 January – Sunday 1 February.
