1000 Miglia 2020

La bellezza delle gare delle auto d’epoca risiede si nella meraviglia delle vetture in gara sia nella bellezza dei paesaggi che esse attraversano. La 100miglia, ci ha regalato cartoline indimenticabili, emozioni forti e ricordi indelebili. Ripercorriamo insieme questa splendida competizione. Le 356 vetture d’epoca sono partite, come da tradizione, da Brescia, alla volta di Ferrara, dove si è svolta la prima cena di Gala, per giungere poi a Cervia Milano-Marittima. Per arrivare alla destinazione della prima tappa hanno attraversato Desenzano, Sirmione, Villafranca di Verona e Mantova.

All’alba di una mattina avvolta da una fitta nebbia gli equipaggi si sono diretti verso Urbino, dove li ha accolti un cielo terso. Dopo aver pranzato a Fabriano e gustato i prodotti locali, passando Macerata e Amatrice, dove si è reso omaggio alla cittadina gravemente colpita dal terremoto, i piloti hanno percorso la Strada della Romanella per arrivare a Roma.

La tappa più lunga, quella che vede le vetture risalire la penisola verso Parma ha avuto una partenza sotto una pioggia battente. Questa non ha smorzato gli entusiasmi dei partecipanti che hanno toccato le varie cittadine presenti sul percorso con la voglia di enfatizzare e dare visibilità al nostro straordinario territorio. Tre queste la Val d’Orcia, terra ricca di storia e di cultura enogastronomica, ripercorrendo un itinerario in passato battuto da personaggi illustri come Boccaccio, Casanova, Stendhal, Charles Dickens e Goethe.

A Siena ci si è fermati per il pranzo, una città ricca di fascino e di leggende, come quella che vede il diavolo in persona spingere Santa Caterina da Siena facendola cadere su uno dei primi gradini della Scalinata di piazza San Giovanni. Questa terza tappa si è fermata a Lucca.

Il sole ha illuminato e riscaldato l’arrivo a Brescia, preceduto, come di consueto, dall’auto 1000 e, per la prima volta, dall’hyper Suv elettrico Vision 2030 di Fabrizio Giugiaro con in bella mostra il logo 1000 Miglia Green.

Andrea e Roberto Vesco, padre e figlio, a bordo della loro Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 SS Zagato del 1929 n°4, si sono aggiudicati la 38a edizione della 1000 Miglia. Al secondo posto si sono classificati Sergio Sisti e Anna Gualandi sulla Lancia Lambda Spider Casaro del 1929 n°45, al terzo posto troviamo la Lancia Lambda Casaro VII Serie del 1927 n°28 guidata da Gianmario Fontanella e Anna Maria Covelli.

Grande successo anche per il Ferrari Tribute to 1000 Miglia, vinto da Salim Al Rifai e Giordano Mozzi su una Ferrari 488 Pista del 2018.

The beauty of vintage car races lies in the wonder of the cars and in the beauty of the landscapes they cross. The 100miglia, gave us unforgettable postcards, strong emotions and indelible memories. Let’s remember this wonderful competition together. The 356 vintage cars started, as per tradition, from Brescia, and arrived, the first day, at Ferrara, where the first Gala dinner took place, and then at Cervia Milano-Marittima. The cars crossed Desenzano, Sirmione, Villafranca of Verona and Mantua. Early in a morning, shrouded in a thick fog, the crews went to Urbino, where a clear sky greeted them. After having lunch in Fabriano and enjoying the local food products, they went to Macerata and Amatrice, where they paid tribute to the town seriously affected by the earthquake, after the drivers went to Strada della Romanella to get to Roma. The longer stage was the last, the cars crossed the peninsula towards Parma. The rain did not dampen the enthusiasm of the participants who crossed all towns on the route with the desire to emphasize and give visibility to our extraordinary territory. Between them the Val d’Orcia, a land rich in history and food and wine culture, retracing an itinerary once beaten by illustrious people such as Boccaccio, Casanova, Stendhal, Charles Dickens and Goethe. They stopped for lunch at Siena, a city full of charm and legends, such as the one that tells: the devil push St. Catherine of Siena and she felt on one of the first steps of the Stairway of San Giovanni Square. They stopped at Lucca. The sun illuminated and warmed the arrival in Brescia, preceded, as usual, by the 1000 car and, for the first time, by the Vision 2030 electric hyper SUV by Fabrizio Giugiaro with the 1000 Miglia Green logo on display.
