“Kate for a Day”

Il fascino delle famiglie reali ha sempre incantato tutte le generazioni. Le bambine sognano di essere delle principesse e le ragazzine di sposare il “principe azzurro”. Anche se non è azzurro, va benissimo purché abbia un regno e la corona :-). La più ammirata e idealizzata è sicuramente la famiglia reale inglese. Grazie soprattutto al carisma, all’eleganza e al rispetto per le tradizioni della Regina Elisabetta. Anche oggi, nonostante viviamo in un mondo nel quale la tecnologia, il progresso e uno stile di vita frenetico fanno da padroni, c’è ancora forte il desiderio di bellezza, grazia e buone maniere. Lo testimonia il fatto che le odierne principesse e duchesse sono veri e propri modelli di stile, ammirate e seguite da ragazze di ogni età. Kate Middleton, duchessa di Cambridge, e Meghan Markle, duchessa di Sussex, rappresentano un ideale per moltissime donne.

Così nasce l’idea di un workshop che si ispira al training che fu seguito proprio da Kate e Meghan in vista dell loro ingresso nella famiglia reale. “Kate for a Day” ci farà scoprire alcuni accorgimenti fondamentali che permettono ai Royals di mantenere il loro leggendario aplomb. Ad esempio come e quando indossare correttamente il cappello o la tiara, come fare la riverenza, come prendere il tè, come comportarsi durante una cena o un cocktail, conoscere regole e curiosità del protocollo reale.

L’idea è venuta a Elisa Motterle, specializzata in galateo e trainer certificata presso la International Etiquette and Protocol Academy di Londra, e a Paola Saia, titolare dell’agenzia milanese Pois Gras, specializzata in eventi retrò.

Laura Lavinia Frati e io non potevamo non andare a curiosare alla presentazione tenutasi nel romantico e fiabesco Hotel Chateau Monfort di Milano. L’impressione è stata molto piacevole.

Il primo appuntamento con “Kate for a Day” si terrà il 19 Gennaio 2020 dalle 14.00 alle 18.00 presso l’Hotel Chateau Monfort di Milano.

The fascination of Royal Families has always enchanted all generations. Girls dream of being princesses and teenager of marry the “Prince Charming”. Even if it is not Charming, is fine if he has a kingdom and the crown :-). The most admired and idealized is definitely the English Royal Family. Thanks above all to the charisma, elegance and respect for the traditions of Queen Elizabeth. Even today, although we live in a world in which technology, progress and a frantic lifestyle are the masters, there is still a strong desire of beauty, grace and good manners. This is evidenced by the fact that today princesses and duchess are true style models, admired and followed by girls of all ages all over the world. Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, are an ideal for many women. So the idea of a workshop inspired by the training followed by Kate and Meghan in view of their first steps into the royal family. “Kate for a Day” will let us discover some basic tricks that allow the Royals to maintain their legendary aplomb. For example how and when to properly wear the hat or the tiara, how to make reverence, how to have tea, how to behave during a dinner or cocktail, know rules and curiosities of the real protocol. The idea came to Elisa Motterle, specialized in etiquette and certified trainer at the International Etiquette and Protocol Academy in London, and Paola Saia, owner of the Milan-based Pois Gras agency, which is specialized in retro events. Laura Lavinia Frati and I couldn’t go to browse at the presentation of this workshop, held in the romantic and fairy-tale Hotel Chateau Monfort in Milan. The impression was very pleasant.

The first date with “Kate for a Day” will be held on the 19th of January 2020 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Hotel Chateau Monfort in Milan.
