“The Show must go on!” at the MCFF

Il mondo dell’arte cinematografica desidera mostrare la sua capacità di emozionare, di commuovere e di divertire, nonostante tutto. Così si è svolta, in sicurezza, anche la 17° edizione del Monte-Carlo Film Festival de la Comédie, la prestigiosa rassegna dedicata alla commedia, ideata e diretta da Ezio Greggio. Dopo che la giuria popolare e quella tecnica hanno visionato le numerose pellicole in gara e hanno individuato le proprie preferenze, si è tenuta la cerimonia di premiazione nella Salle Prince Pierre del Grimaldi Forum. A presiedere la giuria tecnica c’era il doppio premio Oscar Nick Vallelonga, con lui la frizzante Sabrina Impacciatore, l’attrice olandese Lotte Verbeek e la talentuosa attrice spagnola Maggie Civantos.

Il film tedesco ‘Nightlife” di Simon Verhoeven ha vinto numerosi premi: miglior film, migliore regia, il premio del pubblico e la menzione speciale all’ensemble del cast. Il premio come miglior attrice è stato assegnato a Candela’ Pena che ha recitato nel film “La Boda de Rosa”, diretto da Icìar Bollain. Il premio al miglior attore è andato a Nando Paone per “Il ladro di Cardellini” di Carlo Luglio. Lo Short Comedy Award per il miglior corto è stato vinto dal francese “Cash Stash” di Enya Baroux e Martin Darondeau; il Monte-Carlo Film Festival Award da Maggie Civantos, Sabrina Impacciatore e Andrea Morricone; il Career Award, il premio leader del futuro under 30, dall’attore Alessio Lapice; il King of Comedy da Nino Frassica e il Legend Award da Nick Vallelonga.

L’evento si è si svolto sotto l’Alto Patronage di S.A.S. Principe Albert II de Monaco e dell’Ambasciata d’Italia ed è stato realizzato in collaborazione con EFG Private Bank. Radio Monte Carlo era la radio ufficiale del Festival e Marlù il media partner.

Il messaggio di questa edizione è quello di ricominciare a ridere insieme, “The Show must go on!” Ezio Greggio.

The movie world wants to show its ability to excite and entertain, despite everything. Thus the 17th edition of the Monte-Carlo Film Festival de la Comédie, the prestigious exhibition dedicated to comedy, conceived and directed by Ezio Greggio, has taken place in safety. The popular and technical jury viewed the numerous films and identified their preferences, them the award ceremony has taken in the Salle Prince Pierre of the Grimaldi Forum.  The double Oscar winner Nick Vallelonga presieded the jury, with him the witty Sabrina Impacciatore, the dutch actress Lotte Verbeek and the talented Spanish actress Maggie Civantos. The German film ‘Nightlife’, directed by Simon Verhoeven, won numerous awards: best film, best director, audience award and the special mention to the cast ensemble. The award for Best Actress was given to Candela’ Pena for “La Boda de Rosa”, directed by Icìar Bollain. The award for Best Actor went to Nando Paone for “Il ladro di Cardellini” by Carlo Luglio. The Short Comedy Award for Best Short Film was won by the French “Cash Stash” by Enya Baroux and Martin Darondeau; the Monte-Carlo Film Festival Award by Maggie Civantos, Sabrina Impacciatore and Andrea Morricone; the Career Award, the leading award of the future under 30, by the actor Alessio Lapice; the King of Comedy by Nino Frassica and the Legend Award by Nick Vallelonga. The event took place under the High Patronage of S.A.S. Principe Albert II de Monaco and the Italy Embassy and was realized in collaboration with EFG Private Bank. Radio Monte Carlo was the official radio and Marlù its media partner. The message of this edition was to start laughing again together, “The Show must go on!” Ezio Greggio
