Ricordi di un ballo…

In questo sabato di marzo che volge all’imbrunire mi riaffiorano alla mente immagini amene di momenti magici. La splendida Venaria Reale aveva dischiuso le sue porte per accogliere i preparativi del Gran Ballo. La meravigliosa cappella sconsacrata, le sontuose sale e i magnifici giardini cominciavano ad animarsi per i ferventi preparativi. Le sorridenti ed emozionate debuttanti a poco a poco si trasformavano in bellissime principesse grazie alle sapienti mani di truccatrici e parrucchieri che con sfumature d’ombretto, colpi di spazzola e nuvole di lacca le rendevano ancora più speciali. I candidi abiti facevano capolino sugli ometti, in attesa di prendere vita una volta indossati e accompagnati da profumati bouquet di fiori. Il salone principale risuonava delle allegre note che uscivano dagli strumenti musicali di un’impegnatissima orchestra, mentre dalle finestre ci sorrideva il regale giardino invitandoci ad uscire per un timido saluto. Tutto questo presto avrebbe dato vita al fiabesco Gran Ballo della Venaria Reale.

On this Saturday of March, which is beginning to get dark, the images of magical moments emerge to my mind. The beautiful “Venaria Reale” had opened its doors to welcome the preparations of the Grand Ball. The wonderful deconsecrated chapel, the sumptuous halls and the magnificent gardens were beginning to warm up thanks to the fervent preparations. The smiling and excited debutantes gradually turned into beautiful princesses thanks to the skilled hands of make-up artists and hairdressers who made them even more special with shades of eyeshadow, brush shots and clouds of hair spray licks. The white dresses peeped on the hangers, waiting to come to life once worn and accompanied by fragrant bouquets. The main hall resounded thanks to the cheerful notes coming out of a busy orchestra instruments, while through the windows the regal garden smiled and invited us to go out for a timid greeting. All this would soon livened up the fairytale “Gran Ballo della Venaria Reale”.
