Casadei FW20/21

In Via Marina 10 a Milano sorge Palazzo Castiglioni, fatto costruire da Giuseppe Sommaruga tra il nel 1901-1904. Fu il primo edificio in stile Art Nouveau della città. Il suo proprietario, l’imprenditore Ermengildo Castiglioni, desiderava possedere un palazzo che mostrare la sua grandezza e si differenziasse da tutti gli altri. Al suo interno si rimane affascinati dall’esuberante scalone e dalla sala dei pavoni, entrambi ricchi di motivi decorativi ispirati ad una natura rigogliosa, a rappresentanza del florido momento che stava vivendo la borghesia milanese.

Questa la location scelta da Casadei per presentare la collezione FW 20/21. Molte le suggestioni accattivanti: forme che rimandano alle intriganti maschere del Carnevale, raffinati pizzi, intarsi laser, seducenti stivali fascianti, asimmetrie e l’inusuale utilizzo del piumino rendono questa collezione sfiziosamente unica. La novità assoluta è il debutto del logo “C-chain”, due C rovesciate (iniziali di Cesare Casadei) unite da un anello che forma una catena idealmente infinita, destinato a diventare la traccia, il simbolo delle calzature Casadei.

The Palazzo Castiglioni, built by Giuseppe Sommaruga between 1901-1904 is in Via Marina 10 in Milan. It is the city’s first Art Nouveau building ever built. Its owner, the entrepreneur Ermengildo Castiglioni, wanted to own a palace that would show his greatness and that was different from all the others. Inside we are fascinated by the exuberant staircase and the peacock room, both full of decorative motifs inspired by a lush nature, representing the flourishing moment of the Milanese bourgeoisie. This is the location chosen by Casadei to present the FW 20/21 collection. Many eye-catching suggestions: shapes that recall the intriguing Carnival masks, refined lace, laser inlays, seductive bandage boots, asymmetries and the unusual use of the down make this collection deliciously unique. The absolute novelty is the debut of the “C-chain” logo, two upside-down C (the Cesare Casadei’s initials) joined by a ring which forms an ideally infinite chain, destined to become the track and the symbol of Casadei footwear.
